Do Many Out There Still Believe Lebron James Is Better Than Michael Jordan?

You aren't offending me at all Pats.

Guess what I'm saying (and I think you see it in the other thread) is that his numbers can be great and he can put up even better numbers overall than Jordan but some guys will never buy into it simply because of how he left Cleveland. People are funny, they will forgive but never forget. I hate the guy. I think the way he left was shitty on all levels and I'll never respect him because of it but I really respect his game. Does all of that make sense?

Yeah it makes sense except one thing. Now you are saying "how" he left Cleveland, before it was just the fact he left Cleveland in general and you were saying he should've stayed because that is what others would do.

So now you don't have a problem with him leaving, just how he left? That is moving the goal posts a little as before you had a problem with the very aspect of him leaving.

I have a problem with him leaving and how he left. He's from Akron, it's his hometown team. Why leave?

Can I ask you a question? I think you're a reasonable guy and I think if I met you at a bar we'd actually sit down and have a few beers and get along just great and actually have some fun.

But why do you constantly search out threads in an attempt to find posters to just disagree with? I don't see you post all day and then you randomly show up out of the blue like a used vacuum cleaner salesman and just want to argue all day. I don't get it.

There is not a person on this forum that argues more then you.
You are therx king of arguing.

If I had to name one poster out of 80000 that argues most it would be you.

You are the king of the 15 page thread with only 2 active posters.
You will argue with anyone for hundreds of post at a time like none other.

Why not leave?

1. Cavs not very good supporting cast (as you've chronicled over and over in the other thread)
2. Miami a way better place to live than Cleveland for a rich mid 20s famous dude

You spend countless pages in the other thread saying how much his Cle supporting cast sucked (which I agree w/) and now your saying why leave? Exactly.

At the end of the day Pats I think for some reason you enjoy going back and forth with me which is cool I guess but I just don't get why enjoyment out of it. It does not offend me at all.

Am I not allowed to say I hate LBJ but think he's one of the best ever? I hate Barry Bonds but he was a great baseball player.

It takes 2 to go back and forth.
This is the reason why most of your threads are 3 pages+.
Because you are more willing then most to go back and forth.

Great bump. EF just loves to argue, period. I don't think he even cares what side of the argument he is on, and I think he even confuses himself sometimes as to what he's trying to argue. As long as he's able to argue it doesn't matter.

Forums are an avenue to discuss topics of mutual interest. I guess if the threads with pages of information are not warranted/wanted then I'll hit the road. In life, we don't all get along. I don't agree with your Joe Paterno stance but I respect your opinion and certainly don't think we were arguing. I think we were discussing the issue just like two dudes would at the barbershop. I guess my idea of the forum and yours are very different. Either way, it doesn't matter to me.

Here I go and post a compliment to you about how you've gotten your life on track and you post this? Thanks and have a good Saturday.

I'm an old school kind of guy Pats and would love to see players play with the same team for the duration of their career.

Why not leave? He's from Cleveland for one and the Cavs were going to pay him as much if not more than the Heat were. I understand about living in Miami over Cleveland but I live in gorgeous Colorado but it's still not home if you know what I mean.

I fail to see the relationship between me getting my life on track and the fact that you are have an argumentative personality. It's all good man, it makes for good fodder, I honestly wasn't trying to bash you.

Because you passed me a compliment on a totally unrelated matter it is now and forevermore inappropriate to call things as I see them?

PS it was a pretty backhanded compliment anyway..."you are becoming a good poster" or something along those lines is one of the things you said. Implying I was a shit poster before but I am now approaching Enfuego-like greatness? Puhhh-lease.

lol I think we beat this topic into the ground but I'm guessing LeBron banging euro supermodels in Miami has made him get over the fact he can't frequent his favorite childhood diner at 6am on a tuesday.

You've said ad nauseam the team wasn't very good as presently constructed and LeBron wasn't getting any younger, I dunno would be very tough to stay in that spot. I think people would be surprised at how few NBA legends in that exact situation (cleveland, team being lame, free agent) would stay...

I have an argumentative personality? Dude, you don't even know me. Do you really think people on this forum are the way they are in real life? I'm the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. We sat at the same table during the RX poker tournament about three weeks ago and talked the entire time. Did I have an argumentative personality then?

I guess I don't get it. If you disagree with someone on this board you're supposed to as you say "call things as you see them." It's ok for you to do that but when I do it I'm being argumentative?

But, you weren't trying to bash me. Ok.

Back handed compliment? Are you serious? You say something nice to a guy and he thinks you're being an asshole.

Only in forumville. I meant what I said and was paying you a compliment for getting your life on track which is what I think we should do more of on this board and I'm an asshole. I get it.

OK I will rephrase. You have an argumentative posting style. You like to argue things in and out like a lawyer. You will dig for facts and continue to poke and poke at people in an effort to make any point (usually the intended point is that you are smarter than the other person).

You make a fair point, I don't know what you're like in real life. Yes we got along fine in the poker tournament just like I think we probably would in real life. But on the boards you go beyond "calling things as you see them"...you beat and beat and beat a dead horse trying to make yourself look smarter than whoever you're bickering with, regardless of the subject. You come off as arrogant and condescending in your posts. It is what it is. Like when you started the real estate thread with something like "if you don't know what you're talking about don't waste your time trying"...

If I come across as arrogant and condescending and think I'm smarter than everyone else in your opinion then the board really doesn't need a guy like me if it wants to keep improving. Ask an honest real estate question and I'm an asshole. Pay a guy a compliment about getting his life on track and I'm an asshole. Donate winnings from a poker tournament to the board and I'm an asshole.

Best of luck guys. I'll be off the grid for awhile.
