Consider it was 0-0 til the 80th minute a 1-1 result and a push is fine with me. As an added bonus benfica fired there coach that makes me feel better about that loss.

Euro 2008 qualifiers Portugal -1.5 & -2 +108 vs Armenia 1 unit

Homer bet is all this is but I do like Portugal to put the boot to Armenia. Portugal don't play for 1-0 games they do like to beat a team handly if they don't match up talent wise which is the case here even on the road.

That tie could make a grown man cry. I do not wish to talk about it right now. If Belgium can beat Serbia that would make me feel better

MLS

Chicago - Kansas City over 2.5 +113 2 units

I'm still unsure why the over is plus money i'm hoping I don't regret adding on the extra unit because of it. Chicago has 3 guys who can score in Blanco, Wanchope, and Rolfe. Kansas City has one of the best strikers in the league in Eddie Johnson so I'm hoping either team can win 2-1.

Having 5 goals scored in the second half was a good end to a not so good day.

MLS

LA Galaxy - Chivas USA Under 2.5 -102 2 units

I'm sorry but when you give up 5 goals in one game you are bound to spend the entire week of training focusing on D which is my hope with regards to the Galaxy. Plus as we speak Beckham is sleep off some jet lag and back to back 90 min games can't be great for the ankle.

Since this is the big rivalry I don't see each team trying to go for the kill right away I think the first 20 mins will be played at a slower pace and I hope it carries forward from there.

Just saw the Ronaldo goal last. Some quick feet - very clever goal.

Portugal are gonna have to step it up if they want to qualify though!

Good luck with the play.

Ty, Portugal is still in the drivers seat in the group

There two points back of Finland with a game in hand plus Portugal has already played Poland, Serbia and Finland in those countries now those 3 teams have to come to Portugal. If Portugal can get 7 out 9 points there in. Serbia losing yesterday was key. If they won then Portugal would have no breathing room.

Below is the Ronaldo goal. It doesn't look good until the replay

Ahh, I see! Well great news that Belgium won! Definitely want Portugal in the Euro's. What's happened with your strikeforce? You're not still playing Pauleta are you? If you could just get one world class striker, you'd be amazing!

Pauleta is a bum, When you need 3 goals against San Marino he's your man against any top team he dissappears however to be fair Portugal mostly plays a 4-5-1 he isn't the type of striker that can be featured alone. He also retired at the end of WC. Also the answer to the trivia question who was the last player to score a hat trick in the World Cup

Well there is Postiga who scored against England in 04 and nailed both PK's in each game however Porto is dying to sell him but he is alright. Hugo Almeida from Werder Bremen he should be the best fit going forward since he can play the lone striker role since Ronaldo, Simao, Nani, Deco etc can lob it right between the eyes and he knows how to finish them but you are right no world class strikers and none coming in the next 2 years unless Coelho a young playing with Inter Milan can make the grade.

Can't say I've ever seen Coelho play. But, it will be tough for him to get games at Inter with all the strikers they've got. I hope he turns out to be good. It would really be the missing piece. International football can be so boring, particularly in Europe. I only really look forward to watching Argentina. The Copa America was very exciting. It would be good to get a few good world class attacking teams. Portugal definitely have the talent.

Coelho is really young like 17, he isn't on the radar yet but by the time they start trying to make the next world cup he will be.

Oh those 3 goals in the second half pained me last night, so close yet so far in getting over the hump. Guess it even's out with the Chicago game going over after a 0-0 ht score.

As always my fav day of the week is tomorrow so here I go with my picks.

EPL

Liverpool -158 3 way line vs Sunderland 2 units

I've flipped flop between making this 1 unit or 2 units but I do like Liverpool in this spot. My only worries is Sunderland coming off a bad defeat rising there game up at home against Liverpool but I still think they have too much class for Sunderland here.

Arsenal -.5 & -1 -111 vs Man City 1 unit

It's been a good start for Man City but that ends against this Arsenal team that will open them up tomorrow

Aston Villa -.5 -115 vs Fullham 1 unit

After a hard fought tie at Newcastle last week this is the week that Villa gets there first win (one can hope)

Reading - Bolton under 2.5 -130 1 unit

I seriously do not know where the goals will come from and i know saying that means it going to be a 3-2 game but I just feel that if Bolton scores first there going to play 10 guys back to try to hold this lead and the same would apply for Reading

Chelsea -1 & -1.5 -122 1 unit vs Portsmouth

I'm liking Chelsea to get there 100 game at home without a lost result here. I also believe that Chelsea can open up this Portsmouth team.

West Ham -0.5 +102 vs Wigan 1 unit

Wigan played a great game last weekend winning 3-0 im hoping that doesn't carry over here as West Ham hopefully can build on there hard fought 1-0 win vs B'Ham last week

Everton - Blackburn over 2 -137 1 unit

There is enough talent on the pitch that makes me like this bet.

Serie A

Juventus - Livorno under 2.5 -106 1 unit

The old lady makes her return to Serie A. If there is a team that loves the 1-0 game its Juventus. With the major signings in the off season being Portuguese midfielder Tiago and Centre Back Jorge Andrade plus having the best goalie in the world in Buffon. I don't see Livorno scoring and I don't see Juventus getting 3 goals.

Portugal - Superliga Soccer

Benfica - Vitoria Guimaraes over 2.5 -101 1 unit

Benfica has only one healthy centre back and the kid is 18 years up plus Guimaraes isn't exactly the 1982 Italian National Team at back so im aiming for Benfica to shine in front of there new coach and if Guimaraes can score one that would be nice.

La Liga

Atletico Madrid +0.5 & +1 -127 vs Real Madrid 2 units

I usually love to fade a championship team in any sport playing there first game after winning it all plus Atletico made some big moves with the money they got from Torres with adding Forlan, Garica, Reyes and my personal fav Simao to a team that already has Maxi Rodriguez and Serigo Aguero. Hopefully they can keep the ball out of there net but it isn't like Real Madrid aren't facing problems back there either.

MLS

New England - New York under 2.5 -102 1 unit

I don't see New York getting into another 5-4 game this week. I'm hoping these two rivals play in a close contest which should make the under cash.

I usually try to stay and even kneel. I enjoy the wins but I don't beat myself up over the losses however it is amusing to me that for the last 3 weeks after the last EPL game every game I've bet for 3 weeks has lost. It's like 0-12 now just a weird stat that dumbfounds me. So I'll learn to stick to EPL/MLS ad very select other leagues next week.

Sunday

Newcastle +175 3 way line 1 unit.

I like Newcastle, I don't like boro and with Yakubu out the door I think Big Sam's team can steal the points on the road.

Man U - Tottenham over 2.5 -103 2 units

Each team needs to win and each need to do it with style. Neither are going to play for the tie so with the talent that both sides have 3 goals can easily make there way to the back of the net.

Rough weekend sadly but its along year. Hey atleast Nani scored a beautiful goal so I'm happy for the kid

Toulouse +1.5 -116 vs Liverpool 2 units

Toulouse isn't a roll over team and Liverpool doesn't need to win by two anyway. I'm sure they liked too however Toulouse can give them a game so I'll hope they can keep it within one.

Rangers - Red Star Belgrade over 2 & 2.5 +118 1 under

Going for the plus money even if I won the first goal was 0-0 til the 90th minute. The home team will have to score first so it isn't like there going to play passively I'm hoping that can lead to 3 goals in this spot.

Sevilla - AEK Under 2.5 -125 1 unit

Too much drama with Dani Alves to have this Sevilla team at there best since there up 2-0 from the first leg a 1-0 result would do and if AEK makes it 1-0 Sevilla would still try to play defenivesly to hold on to the lead IMO.

Rough week, hopefully it doesn't turn into a long season. On a brighter note Benfica made it to the Champions League, congrats.

SuperLiga

LA Galaxy pk & 0.5 -106 vs Pachuca 2 units

This is LA silver lining to a rough year, they won't make the MLS playoffs but im hoping they put all there eggs in one basket to win this won

The record is still god awful but its a long season and it would be a bitch move if I left at this point. Klien's last minute bicycle kick goal saved my ass so looking in the face of being down 15 units being down still sucks but I don't think everything I touch loses anymore.

I felt I should of watched the end of the SuperLiga game just because I owed it to LA I figured. Seeing Donovan make his way up to take his PK where if he got it in LA would be a million dollars richer it gave me a flashback to the summer of 06.

Actually I still think of the Portugal-England almost everyday (Also think about Portugal-Greece but that is another story, I've made my peace with the Portugal-France game kinda) where a) I knew Simao would score the first goal b) Ricardo just had this look like he could save anything that came his way. and C) While it was a range of emotions with nervousness, joy, agony, and then utter delight. I just knew Ronaldo was going to score his spot kick, it didnt even cross my mind once that he'd miss it.

The point of all this? Donovan you gotta score that.

On to Saturday

Middlesboro pk @ -.5 -113 vs B'Ham 1 unit

Mido has been in great form for Boro and there overall form has been good lately, sadly they showed alot of heart coming back twice against Newcastle last week. I think B'Ham is too weak in there back 4 still so going with Boro.

Newcastle - Wigan under 2.5 -113 2 units

Wigan isn't going to come into this game looking to shoot the lights out and after giving up two against Boro I look for Newcastle to tighten up the D so im hoping the under cashes.

Reading - West Ham over 2 & 2.5 -108 2 units

Last time these two teams faced up Reading won 6-0 I'd love for history to repeat itself

Fulham +0.5 -131 vs Tottenham 1 unit

I like home underdogs, Fullham will feel hard done by after a tough loss to Villa last week plus they given a good game to Arsenal, Villa, and Boro so I'm hoping at home they can hold Tottenham

Liverpool - Derby under 2.5 & 3 -106 2 units

4 goals is alot to ask from a team that is coming off a mid week fixture plus gerrard is hurting so I'll take my chances and hope liverpool let's in no goals and scores a max of 2.

Sunderland +2 -133 1 unit

I think the Sunderland players know how important this game is to there coach so while a Derby walking into White Hart lane result can happen i'll take the 2 goal cushion and keep my fingers cross.

MLS

Chicago +0.5 -106 vs New York 1 unit

Both teams are very evenly matched hoping for a draw even in light of New York great form as of late.

Houston -0.5 -109 vs Kansas City 1 unit

KC played awful in Salt Lake on Wed going to Houston on Sat won't help matters I hope.

Real Salt Lake +0.5 +112 vs LA 2 units

RSL is playing better as of late where as LA must be gutted after losing in the SuperLiga and losing Beckham in what already is a paper thin team. Frank Yallop may get canned after this one.

Last time I updated my record while the units where correct I didn't add the losses correctly I forgot to include one game to that. This has been corrected in the record below.
