I think so...I belive the Brawler was given a couple wins and even had a small storyline....Dmmd98 says the Brawler is a homo, for real...I think he said he's Pat Patterson's BF if I'm not mistaken.

PacMan great friggin post. Im still pretty young but man to this day I still make out for old school stuff.

Thank you and you're right about 'old school' stlye. I have no less than 15 footlocker's filled with programs, soveniers, pictures, autograph's, ticket stubs, etc and would bet you a dozen donuts, once I saw the item(s) I'd be able to tell you where the event was held and who was on the card (won). When I goto the storage unit next time, I'll allow some extra time to open up a few of them and let the mind remember. My guess is most of today's fans wouldn't have a clue as to what they're looking at. It's ok.

Of the modern era, does Barry Horiwitz streak come to mind?

The Brooklyn Brawler (Steve Lembrotie <spelling) was a good lower card performer. Would be able to work the crowd up with his antics.

Let me know when you'll be around Funny thing is, now a days people buy and protect their items (plastic covers/sheets), I don't recall doing that to any of them - not saying I some aren't protected, but they were last viewed about six or seven years ago. I know, "waste" of money (storage) but at least I know they're safe.

Stuff after the mid 80's, comes and goes on a daily basis. What I can recall is that he didn't win for a long, long, long time (if ever).

About 15 years ago I had the opportunity to buy a lot of about 3000 newstand wrestling magazines dating from the mid 60's to the late 1980's. At the time I couldn't come up with the $1500 the guy wanted for all of it--I kick myself to this day about missing out on this treasure trove....and of course with the big market for pro wrestling memorabilia now I could have turned a profit many times over in the process..

Hot Rod in his prime!

Piper.jpg

A real LEGEND! :103631605

I dug this up about Piper and Williams...

Piper interviews jobber Frankie Williams, tells him that he's worthless and beats him up. This is where Piper coins one of his famous quotes: "Just when you think they've got the answers, I change the questions."

da1prophet, that is an outstanding link...thanks.

My pleasure...there are similar sites out there for the Georgia and Mid Atlantic territories, but IMO the Florida one is the best. I'll track down the two I just mentioned and post to the thread...
