its just that if you look at the 3 main sports, NBA, NFL, MLB...Boston is turning into the modern day New York. What I mean is they are trying to buy these championships. The same way Boston fans have ripped the Yankees back in the 90's, Boston is doing the same thing. Buying Moss, Welker, Stallworth...KG & Ray, putting down the dough for Dice K and hell I am really surprised they didn't get Santana either....

but just like the Yankees, you can't buy a championship. On paper they look great, but there are many flaws hidden by the media. Many bitch about the 48 yarder not attempted by NE, but when did NE ever kick FG's this year? They were busy drawing up 30 yard out routes on 4th and 1 with 30+ pt leads. Well finally came a time where their offense did not look so great and they just went through the motion of going for it like they had been doing. It bit them in the ass.

I think that the only thing worse was the incessant and pointless threads started by the same 3 or 4 Chicago Bears homers prior to last year's Super Bowl. Thankfully the Colts thoroughly dominated the game and I cashed my biggest ever Super Bowl bet by fading those clowns!

this is one of the biggest upsets indeed, but not they biggest. i would have to say mike tyson getting knocked out. how many threads on a sports forum would of been bumping buster douglas at that time the week up to the fight. not a one thread i can guarentee you. there were threads in here that the giants would win, hard to be the biggest upset when people honestly felt and layed money on the giants winning outright.

another big upset would be unlv's loss to duke in the final four. goergetown getting upset is another. jets superbowl win.

i cant put the red sox's 3-0 comeback up there for one reason. when the series started it was split 50/50 on who would win that series. the comeback is unbelievable considering the circumstances, but no way is a team that was loaded like the red sox were a huge upset.


and just to add to this while were talking bout cheaters, class etc i have to tip my hat to the giants and straham for their class act on tv talking about stomping people and jumping around on stage. all class.......unreal.
