Punzo sounds like a spoiled brat who got it all done for him by his loving family so far,yet the kid can't take responsibility for his action and seeking easy routes out instead of trying to help himself ,could have worked full time job now that he is off school or at least offers to try and pay his debt in the future to whom ever could "spare" him couple of hundreds,yet he is planning on working with a suit when he graduates..i doubt he will make it with his behavior/attitude thus far,anyhow you seem down to earth and knowing who you deal with but still have the generosity and kind heart,very rare these days unfortunately,I take my hat off to someone like you and wish you just well where ever you heading or what ever you are doing in your life
He needs to work at least 80 hours a week and pay back every penny himself. That would guarantee he would never bet another game because he will remember busting his ass and working hard to pay off the debt.
The reason why he went back to betting and being in debt again is because his parents bailed him out for the 6k. He took the easy way out and didn't have to work/pay for the debt at all. If anyone or his parents bail him out again, he will just bet again.
He's young and this would be a good life lesson if he took care of this debt by working multiple jobs and taking a credit card advance. Give him the easy way out again and we'll see another cry for help in a few months being down even more! Time to grow some balls, man up and talk to the bookie on a reasonable payment plan. Then work your ass off until the debt is paid off. Trust me, you will be a better man in the future if you do this. Good luck!!

Honest opinion here from the little that I have read.....
If you really did offer them a payment plan of something substantial (+$500 a month or so) and they turned you down and are still telling you thay are going to hurt you, then I think you are either lying or they deserve to be dimed out.
I have so many people who owe me money and are still on payment plans from way back and I mean WAY BACK, that it is depressing, but still my fault for letting them get so extended.

k i dont know if this thread got deleted, but everyone seems to be so confident that yea he should do this he should do that!! im 18 yearss old and it is alot different when you are in my shoes!!! raider, no! it was all a lie, i was doing this cause he told me to help him on the forum before he sends me the money from his company!
i talked to them... i just got home. i brought the guy these pages i sat down with him, he bought be fucking lunch!! i couldnt believe it!! he told me listen! its a buisness, in the real world, u cant run away from paying someone 11k... we sorted out all the numbers, i owe him 10 800$.. he told me that hes not going to put me on a plan for 200$ a week, because its going to take a fuckin year.. he told me this.. listen, ifyour so serious, and you cant go to your parents(by the way he knew about the first time i lost he talked to the other bookies) he said get all your friends, show them this thread. he said u already have 490$ saved up ur telling me, he said i dont want it now.. i want to meet tomorrow! i want u to bust ur fucking asss, and im not expecting a little fucking payment here!! i wantt u tooo to w/e the fuck u have to do to get me my money.. depending on how much it is ill decide! because payment plans piss me the fuckk off! he said he has people to pay cuts to off my losings, so he wants to pay the cuts first, then worry about himself!! and he said in the end! he want 12 000$ regardless of how long its going to take! he scares the shit out of mee guys!!! he will beatthe fuck out of me if i miss a payment though, he said it!! he was like but if u get me enough money, and i put u on a plan, that means no vacation or anything, cuz i want my fucking moneyy every single weeek orr God help you!! like wtf!! i almost shit my damn pants guys! and he said, if i dissapoint him with these payments, hes not going to help me! apparently hes not the only one who wants to break my legs!! i dont no how the buisness works, but i assume hes got partners, and he told me if i think hes mad, if his buddy was there he said he would smack me out in the middle of tim hortons
