all I can say is WOW, this kid comes from the rich part of Toronto and goes to private school.
No way his parents disown him over something this small....
The money u will send this kid could prevent another kid from starving to death.... I realize you cant solve all the worlds problems but this is certainly not a charity worth consideration IMO

Want to know what's fucked up. I think you have a chance of being right, but as I said I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff for personal reasons in my families past.
Listen I understand that I could put this money elsewhere, but I've donated to plenty of charities this year.
Let me say this. Just because you go to a rich school doesn't mean you live in that area.
Also 18 thousand dollars is definitely not something small IMO. Would I help my kid out? Yes, but not everyone can in that situation.

I'm not going to give him 11 thousand, but even getting him one payment on his payment plan helps him stay away from other options to get money.

and frankly I am disappointed with myself being in charge of the forum tonight for letting this thread stand offshore, but by the time I saw it it was already at page 5 so I said WTF.
Had I known that it would result in actual money changing hands, I can assure you I would have sent it to the rubber room or site promotions immediatly, or even locked it.
Ask him wether he lives in a rich neighboorhood or not.... houses in Toronto run in the millions, Ill bet you dollars to donuts that the house this kid lives in is worth more than 1/2 million dollars and you think its necessarry to send him money?
how about sending that money to people who are on the streets as a result of Katrina.....
