I thought Baker was an insurance salesman

Did I miss something?

PS: Im going to suggest the Browns know a little more about Watson's legal troubles than we do. Just saying

As always, I'll just let time do it's thing

Great advice
Yea the Browns have a history of making all the right decisions . We should in no way question an organization that drafts J Manzel and hires a baseball guy to be its GM. And drafts an insurance salesman to play QB instead of Josh Allen. How foolish of me to do that

I don't know what the Browns know. But we all know he's suspended for at least one year.

And the saints 3 or 4 years after that made a trade almost just as bad as the Walker trade .

Basically traded 2 and a half seasons worth of draft picks to get Ricky Williams who was fairly average .
At least my dolphins gave u 2 first round picks plus a 3rd for him.
Ricky was awesome in his short 2 year stint but him retiring in training camp back in 2004 fucked up the entire franchise.

well that and taking Daunte over Brees

Some of these quarterbacks should be patient as after 2-3 regular season weeks, the Dolphins will be desperate to pay anything to get a starting QB.
Negative.

if Tua doesn’t work out, they have teddy bridgewater.
If that doesn’t work, they have 2 first round picks next year and trade up to get a qb on a rookie contract

According to this the browns did not contact a single one of Watsons 24 accusers before the trade .

So maybe they don’t know anything more about his legal situation then me after all

Do you really think contacting an accuser would be the best approach? Or even a productive approach?

That there is some fluff and buff legal advice you got going on there. As a matter of fact, not only would it be more intelligent to contact the league and legal teams, it's probably illegal for them to contact the accusers

JFC

But hey, Greenfruit agrees with your scholarly approach, so you got that

Baker wants out of Cleveland? Well, that makes him a great teammate in this neck of the woods

Who wouldn't want him now?

Texans sued for allegedly enabling former QB Deshaun Watson's behavior during massage therapy sessions

The Houston Texans have been sued for allegedly enabling former quarterback Deshaun Watson's behavior during massage therapy sessions.

The lawsuit filed on Monday in Harris County, Texas, accuses the team of being aware of Watson's alleged behavior during massage therapy sessions, and that "individuals within the Texans organization knew or should have known of Watson's conduct."

The lawsuit also states that the Texans provided Watson with resources to conduct his therapy sessions, including "rooms set up for him at the Houstonian Hotel, massage tables provided to him for private massage sessions, and a NDA provided to him from the head of Texans' security."

"We are aware of the lawsuit filed against us today," the Texans said in a
statement on Monday. "Since March 2021, we have fully supported and complied with law enforcement and the various investigations. We will continue to take the necessary steps to address the allegations against our organization."

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday that Watson's hearing before disciplinary officer Sue Robinson, jointly appointed by the NFL and NFL Players Association, will begin on Tuesday.

Watson is facing potential discipline from the NFL, which is independently investigating whether he violated the league's personal-conduct policy after Watson was accused of sexual assault and misconduct during massage sessions.

It was announced last Tuesday that Watson had reached confidential settlements with 20 of the 24 women who have filed civil lawsuits alleging he committed sexual misconduct.

Watson has previously denied any wrongdoing and maintained any sex with the women was consensual. Two grand juries in Texas have declined to indict Watson on criminal complaints filed by 10 women.

The Texans traded Watson to the Cleveland Browns in March and signed him to a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract.

It's what our attorneys do. Throw as much shit as possible against the walls and see if any sticks

Hoping for nothing more than a nuisance settlement in many cases

FWIW: I know I know nothing about the legal matters surrounding Watson, I think it's funny some people think they actually know something about the case

I always give the defendant his day in court. Nowadays more so then ever. So little regard for the truth

There are some innocent people on death row & have been in the past, so anything is possible.

I’m not even factoring in things like Watson himself being a very polarizing player to the fan base of the browns as many season ticket holders have cancelled season tickets .

That says a lot given the desperation level of the fan base

Watson punishment in NFL not directly correlated to whatever is resolved )or unresolved) in legal process.

NFL gonna do whatever the fuck it wants. Right or wrong
