nah, too volatile for my blood. The vix had two days in early sept , the day's ranges were ; $25.75 to $36 and $38.25 to $29.75,respectively lol. Yeah $30 for sure is a big level; since mid -sept (from the chart above) $30 level has been rejected SEVEN times. I use the vix to gauge the fear level(beadth of potential candles)/and additive info for the major indices as they r largely inversely correlated

Indecision..at the crossroads......algos/traders all waiting on Pelosi. Look how it refuses to give up the low of the mother candle, Monday's long red candle-- it will likely lose it if no good news, imo . Event based, adn again no clues from the candles..if today's candle also is a doji? look out for friday, a series of djoi's r more powerful than 1 doji- to break decisively . A break to the upside would target $295

food for thought , u already know this.....but..... if something is channeling and one wants an entry when it BREAKS the top of the channel- place a buy stop order just a bit past said top. So in this case, the VIX tested $30 seven times , all rejected, until it VIOLENTLY broke through. So, buy stop order at say $30.25-- hits it, and filled. Gotta have a stop of course, ....and with this vehicle ...can get stopped on the day of entry@)

anyway, i would never buy with this current presentation (too stretched from the 8 ema). With that said---- if i had to play this i'd do this; look for confluence , mutilple factors putting probability highly in favuor of forward upside the next day; entry at $33.75ish is a site to look at (would fill the gap just below...in general when a gap is filled price tends to revert) -- what also would be nice if it hits the 8 ema, can even pierce it and have a tail on it, but it closes ABOVE the 8 ema with a green candle ...the candle HAS to be a bullish candle on entry day, MUST MUST MUST. End of the day -- this uptrend remains until a bearish candle and CLOSE below the 8 ema.....today was largely a nothing day, NO WAY i'd take a postion either way at 3:50 pm
