My best analogy to this would be people pointing out the democrats whinning about the electoral college(which is a fine point) but those same people don't point out that donald trump was whinning about the same exact thing in 2012.

It's not about the fake news thing. What FOX does isn't remotely close to anything I would call journalism. They are biased, and play identity politics just like the rest of them. There's a difference though between being biased, being extremely biased, and telling a complete fabrication.

You can say what you want about Fox News , but over a 3 year period , Russian collusion was 24/7 at MM.. Fox was the only outlet , with a few hosts calling it what it was.. So Fox gets more credibility , especially when you're talking about the biggest news story this century. After 3 years of lying and no apology for the lying , no reason to take MM seriously at all.. You could throw in the non stop impeachment Ukraine phone call also.. We saw who pushed back on that misleading headline

Would have been nice to get everyone on board early to give the right responses and maybe start the legislation part of this much sooner .......... But then again , grandstanding and impeachment over a phone call was probably a bigger priority... This crisis could wait.

So one of two things happened. He was ordered or thought that his boss wanted him to go on national TV and say there wont be a recession. And then 8 hours later they treasury is pumping some huge amount into the economy. Two days later he is saying unemployment will be 20% (which sounds like a recession to me). If this was the case he got in front of the american people who are counting on our leaders to lead and he lied to our face.

The other option is he truly believed this. Thus he did not lie to the American people.

He should be fired for either lying to us or for being incompetent.

I am not really sure how anyone can spin what he said as being ok he either lied or is totally incompetent.

One of the news shows this morning they looked at leaders in the past during a crisis. I believe it was Eisenhower who said in a crisis a leader needs to take the blame for mistakes and give praise to those around him for success. This to me seems like great advice. That will never happen with Trump.

I probably wasn't as clear with my post as I should've been. Most are just focused on what Trump and the administration are doing..

Wouldn't it have helped to have Congress in the game to maybe at least have a hearing and come up with a strategy too ? Or was impeachment over a phone call that vital to where everything else in this country needed to be on hold ?
For me , thats alot bigger issue then someone offering a hopeful opinion on whether a recession might take place..

A crisis in this country shouldn't be a do alone strategy. It never has been before.. Pointing fingers at the administration only goes so far when you have one body completely ignoring it , for a political agenda
