The way the media reported this was egregious and equivalent to yelling fire in a crowded theater. I don't see how anyone can defend this. While snopes (who is very left wing) graded parts of it mixed, they graded the part about the Coronavirus being called a hoax 100% not true. And the journalist that reported it aren't stupid. They knew that it was untrue, but did it anyways, because making Trump look bad was more important to them, than our lives. Let that sink in. The false reporting got one side to panic, while it got the other side, to believe that it was actually a hoax. I see democrats and dumb republicans making these claims. Yeah there are Republicans claiming this shit is a hoax and they aren't staying home. Who's fault is that? Then you have democrats that are panicking buying up all the toilet paper, because they think the president thinks it's a hoax and not doing shit. CNN's reporting on this is costing lives. I'd like to see a class action law suit against them. Reporting biased news is one thing. They all do that. And getting shit wrong from time to time is another thing. That happens sometimes. But this wasn't any of that. This was done purposely.
Enfuego while this will mostly affect old people and compromised people with the death rate, doesn't mean that this wont have huge implications. It is highly contagious and the hospitalization percentage is close to 20%. If we just went about our business we'd just be kicking the economic implications down the road, where the pain from it will be much worst. Dr. Fauci isn't a dummy, he's not out to ruin Trump. He knows what he's talking about. And we should listen to him.
People keep saying the media created a panic. Who exactly is panicking? If anything people are in away still slightly underplaying this with some still getting together in large public groups. I truly haven't seen mass hysteria. The biggest thing reported was about tiolet paper. The hospital stuff is somewhat a given with a pandemic. People tend to get sick. Stay home!
All you have to do is look at the DOW, if you don't see panic there I don't know what to say.

Even CNN's Jake Tapper knows the President didn't call it a hoax. What's it going to take for all of you to admit it? Tapper's tweet from 5 hours ago:

It's not about the fake news thing. What FOX does isn't remotely close to anything I would call journalism. They are biased, and play identity politics just like the rest of them. There's a difference though between being biased, being extremely biased, and telling a complete fabrication.
