Ariel Helwani ... Reasons still unclear, but 4 hours later, multiple sources maintaining McGregor's tweet is real. UFC working on next step(s) at this time.

Conor McGregor (-130) v Nate Diaz (+110) ... odds staying open despite Conor retirement stuff.

65% bets on Nate

All over ESPN now too. I plan to pound Diaz myself as well...

And for the record... MattyMatt is the expert here so I'll just learn when I read but IMHO Connor is one of the most entertaining athletes Ive ever seen.
Well entertaining is half of the battle, so he definitely does have that aspect down pay for sure.

Thanks! NYKnight is rather bright on the subject also...

I give credit where credit is due buddy, just as I bust balls where busting balls is due (JC).

I am started to train this year, focusing on BJJ and Muay Thai... feel like this sport will help me with discipline, physique and self control. Buddhist approach, not looking to be ass kicking people just being prepared.

Fights Off

UFC President Dana White announced Tuesday that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been pulled from his UFC 200 main event against Nate Diaz on July 9.

White revealed that the decision was made by the promotion after McGregor informed UFC officials that he would not participate in any promotional activities, including a commercial shoot and press conferences.

The UFC is currently working on a new main event for the card, which will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Other bouts currently set for the event include two title fights, with Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar battling for the interim featherweight title, and Miesha Tate defending her UFC women's bantamweight crown against Amanda Nunes.

Most likely...it's a money ploy, coupled with a little scare from being ringside of the Carvalho's fight. A pussy and dick move IMO, but I'm sure he will get away with it.

Only Conor and Ronda can pull these type of moves and get away with it ... (Maybe Jones but he is all good now since he has a driver, lol)

Anybody else would be gone, looking for work elsewhere

He should be called mixed martial Matty. No copy & paste info, just the facts right from his own experience following the sport.

I doubt he would have beat Diaz again. McGregor's ground game needs alot of work... UFC 200 looks like a dud. Unless Jones and DC tangle.

I've enjoyed your presence. Glad you came along to liven it up in here a bit...maybe the stats and such will help my wagers out a little bit. Been mediocre there as of late, and my most valuable playa keep getting cancelled! Lol

I have enjoyed my interactions talking MMA with you Matty ... You know a lot about the sport and I always enjoy reading your thoughts / insights. I have tried the MMA forums and IMO they are pretty worthless. Its just guys "wagering" on massive chalk and popular fighters and really know nothing about the sport

I know you are good friends with Tank Scoggins and love reading your updates on him.

I am really good friends with Aljamain Sterling (Fighting Pussy boy Carraway in May) and get great reports from him and the boys at Longo-Serra.

I am also friends with Meghan Anderson who is an up in comer at Invicta (she fights again May 7th at Invicta 17)

Always fun to exchange / share info (even copy and paste) trying to win a few $$

Invicta 17, sweet. A girl from here, Alexa Conners, makes her Invicta debut on that card...she's stout, and with 4 legit girls, one being in Invicta already, and one being a UFC veteran, Sara McMann, training with her on the daily, she has a chance to make a huge splash...looking forward to that card myself...I also like Sterling. I think he can take Caraway, and hopefully keep it on the feet and KO him...

Love the thread, thanks guys.

Hate this shit show by Connor/UFC...

Me too. That's why I love local and regional fights. There are some great little promotions around here with some talented fighters who put there heart and soul into it every night. It amazes me the amount of people that don't give it a chance because of the mentality that these guys and girls aren't talented because they're "from here."

UFC, WWE, 3 letter freaking circus!

The part that sucks is that all the good fights are all booked for 198 / 199 so this leads the UFC holding their cock trying to fill in a Main event now while still trying to finalize the final 200 card.

Options ... ????

GSP vs Diaz ?

GSP vs Ruthless Robbie ?

Khabib vs Diaz ?

El Cucuy Ferguson ???

it will be interesting to see what happens ... IMO also could be hard getting GSP with the entire Reebok thing going on. Also too bad Cowboy Cerrone fights a couple weeks before 200 ... Love watching that beer drinking crazy son of a bitch who is already begging to fight on that card after his battle with Cote June 18th
