First off, there's a big difference between losing 50 units and losing 3 units. You could say it's all proportionate to the size of the bet and blah blah blah. I was one game going the other way from having a winning season. You were nowhere near. There's also a lot bigger variance in 2000 games from 100 games. When you go on a bad spurt of 20 games, even a bright guy like you can figure out that it's easier to recover from with the other 1980 games you have instead of the 80 other games you have.

That's irrelevent though.

I put the disclaimer on my claim awhile ago. Call it my one claim to attention whoring if you'd like. That's fine. At least I don't post all of my picks in font size 7, put exclamation points on everything, make BS excuses about things, etc. (And I CAN make those BS excuses because most on these boards wouldn't know better about the AFL... EVERYBODY knows about baseball)

I didn't whore myself up about some poker thing. I didn't call myself the greatest poker player alive. And despite my handle name, never referred to myself as the greatest AFL capper alive.... I never call out things as games of the year, never use the "l---" word, and never fear telling people that I am a small potatoes bettor next to what most claim to be on this site. The words "tread carefully" make appearances from time to time in my threads, especially when it was MAAC and CFL I was dealing with.

Nothing sounds fraudulent about any of that...


Where should I continue... I never say I'm leaving if this one pick doesn't go my way, and in the event that I DO say I'm taking a break, I actually take it, and not whore myself up with some dramatic exit to make a dramatic entrance later on.

I think part of what AFL is saying here is that you had that "10 Straight Winning Baseball Seasons" trademark slogan...

Then last season you did complain about bullpens and other things that kept going against you...quit...returned...quit...returned...etc...

Now I do not know all of the facts...but he says you are now doing the same thing with poker...complaining about bad beats...

One-outers happen...people get rivered...that's poker.

One thing that I personally cannot stand are hold 'em players that "think" they have the spine to play the hand all the way thru...and then start crying a "river" when they lose...makes me sick actually...outplaying someone and still losing is part of the game...

Not saying you did or do that...but bad beats in poker happen...just like a stretch of getting dealt cold cards. They occur more frequently than a bad beat in baseball wagering...

Just seemed that was a point he was making...drawing a parallel to individual bullpens screwing you...and now bad beats in poker...and constantly complaining about them both...all the while saying how successful you are in bases and cards...anyway...

I think there's maybe ONE mention by you about a lucky break as opposed to an unlucky break. We know that nobody faces "bad variance" like Choptalk does. Says so in your poker thread.

I have many times said things like, DAMM, I just played one of the dumbest games on a long time or, wow, I got lucky in that game.

Yes, I post things like, wow, my AA got beat by 98. Thats not the same as bitching about bad beats.

I know thats a part of poker, And I said 40 times in that thread that my record is what it is, no more no less.

You never saw me say FUCK if it werent for all the bad beat I would be cashing 50%, the only reason im not is because of bad beats.

I have only lost 1 game ever that was a GOY/GOM.

That game of the month, and game of the year was the same play.

I only lost 1 game period(total) in my goy and game of month.

The total record, without counting any games twice is 9-1.

All my game of the years is automatically going to be a GOM.
