Any team down 7+ in any NBA game with less than 24 seconds left can't foul or they get the 'Somali pirate' treatment.

No team has ever won a game SU when in that situation, not even with Reggie Miller. But many an 8 point Dog has lost the $ for no reason other than stupidity.

just cause it hasnt happened doesnt mean it cant...

down 7, you foul, get two misses... hit a three... foul... two misses... hit a three and youre down 1... foul again and the most they can do is make it a 3 point game, thus giving you a shot to take it to OT and win SU

USC winning the game when they just score the most points...any win less than 30 points should be a loss...

I know I'm going to open a can of worms here but I think they should do away with pitchers batting. I mean come on, why have a pitcher bat who is hitting .167?? I know, I know, the strategy changes by having a pitcher bat but a different strategy is in play when a DH bats.

Having a pitcher bat is like having a lineman have to pass every 9th down in football. It takes away from the game for someone who is so inept to have to try to attempt something.

totally agree with that. the national league would be so much more exciting to watch if you had a guy know what to do with a stick in his hands batting ninth.

In the nfl - the one where one player can't launch himself over the pile off the back of another guy to block a kick.

Lots of NHL feedback....here's the best one I ever heard, to solve the OT / shoot out points.....

If you win the game in the 5 minute OT you get the extra point if you win a shoot out you only get a half point.

So OT games still worth 2 points, shootout games 1.5 points. I will say that extra points have made the end of season very interesting the last couple of years.

A rule which no one can explain to me is why a batter can attempt to advance to 1st base on a 3rd strike not caught by the catcher. There must be a reason this rule is in place. Basically you are rewarding the batter for swinging at a terrible pitch.

This one is Easy, Pass interference in the NFL. They should let the DBs and the WRs play physical as long as it is not BLAtant than they should both be allowed the jockey for the Ball and position.

How about the stupid "no celebrating" rule in the NFL?

Before I opened this Thread for first time just now, that was exactly the one that came to mind

Tracy McGrady did it against the Spurs I believe. Scored something like 11 points in the final 40 seconds

One of the most thrilling TNT late nighters ever

Nonsense. Many breaking pitches take a dive that fool the batter at last split second and when they hit the dirt they carom wildly.

Another component of strikeouts is that the catcher receives credit for the "putout" in defensive stats

Barman still doesn't explain why the rule is in place. Every rule should have some kind of reason behind it.

I can tell who the chalk players are on this site @)

I think the Grizzlies just illustrated my point. No big deal. NBA = BS anyway.

do away with the shot clock in basketball, fight for the ball.

This would be bad for basketball. You'd see a team up by ten points with 5 minutes to play not even trying to shoot..playing "four corners" offense. I remember in Highschool there wasn't a shotclock. It was very boring and mundane.

How about the Jersey number rules in the NFL? Bring back the #22 for a QB or a #77 for a RB or even the #00.
