Hey BGO,

Sorry I have been in and out of town on business and I have been making plays just don't have that much time for my write ups explaining my picks. As you can see in NFL I am on fire and CFL a solid 60%+. Looks like Ottawa cashed both teams playing with back up QB's. 32-21 for the year. Over looking great so far in Edm/BC.

I've been watching Hamilton for quite some time as I've thought that especially bad teams oftentimes don't cover the spread. I think I've found the perfect game when the Tiger-Cats go to cowtown to face Calgary.

Calgary is favored by only 4 1/2 points!
icon_eek.gif
Is this possibly due to their 4-10 record? I see Calgary romping here at home due to the fact that they've played well lately. Recent games include a win at home over a good Edmonton team, a victory over a good Winnipeg team at home and a close loss to Ottawa on the road.

Come on, Calgary has beaten Winnipeg and Edmonton in their last 2 home games and they're only favored by 4 1/2 over the league's doormat Hamilton??? Add to the fact that the Stampeders have an outside chance of making the playoffs and you have the motivation for doing well here.

My pick:

Calgary -4 1/2 over Hamilton

Hey BGO,

This is a stay away game. Don't know if you know but they won those home games with star QB Marcus Crandell. He is out for this game and they are going to lean on Kevin Feterik who should not be playing professional football. He is the owners son, that is the only reason why he is on this team. I actually think the under is the best bet, Calgary really ran up the yards last game hitting almost 200 yards on the ground and Hamilton really commits to the run with Troy Davis. Don't like either side, Calgary should cover. If it was Crandell starting I would bet my house.

Game of the week: Mon -2.5 over Edm

Ricky Ray will not start for Edmonton. A little banged up and they do not want to lose him with the playoffs around the corner. Montreal owns Edmonton and with Ray out, this should be a beating on 3rd stringer Kevin Maas who will get the nod.

BC/Win over 55

BC + Dome = OVER

Prop BC Lions over 345 yards throwing. Dave Dickenson has averaged over 400 yards in his last 4 home games. He loves home dome advantage and they have loss their last two against Edmonton and need a win here to get momentum for the playoffs.

Toronto -2.5 buying 1/2 point -120

Argos fighting for playoff spot with Ottawa and Kerry Joseph will probally play injured for this one. I think Argos in the dome will be the difference in this one. Argo's in a very close game.

Proplaye:

I respect your decision to hold off here. I didn't find out about the QB until today. In the absence of Calgary QB Crandell I think they will run it quite a bit more. The reason I'm betting on this is because I don't think Hammy can come within 5 points even with Crandell out, especially with this being in Calgary.

Good luck on your picks.

Hey BGO,

I actually love your pick at half right now. Hamilton started their back up to test him for next year Pete Gonzalez. Up 6 points at half and the 2nd half line is -1.5 for Calgary. I am taking Calgary -1.5 2nd half. If I win you win now so lets go Calgary. Hamilton looks terrible.

Good pick Pro. Final score: Calgary 32, Hamilton 12.

Even though Calgary's QB was injured their defense was playing on all cylinders only giving up 6 points until Hammy scores a TD with 41 seconds left in the game.

I think I might take your pick of MTL over EDM because of Ray being out like you mention.

Another good pick is BC/Win over 55. Games in the dome have been averaging 60 points and WIN totals have been averaging over 60 points per game on the road this year.

Good luck and thanks for the advice.

Hey BHG,

I know Cavillo will play at least 1 half and that should be enough to suffice the win. Looks like I may go perfect this weekend and I would hate Edmonton to mess up my perfect weekend. Montreal will blitz Maas all day and take off his head.

This guy ProPlaye is money. Glad you found your way.

The OVER bet at the dome (WPG vs. BC) is at 55.5. It's 31-17 at the end of the 3rd. This one is going over!

Score for WPG/BC is 31-28 with 6:04 left in the 4th. This one is over. This one is money.

Let's cash with Montreal on Sunday.

Hey BGO,

Thanks for the compliment, let me recap the weekend so far:

2nd half Calgary -1.5 (won)
Argos -2.5 (won)
Josh Ranek over 70.5 yards (won)
BC/WIN over 55.5 (won)
BC/WIN 2nd half over 28 (won)
Dave Dickenson over 345.5 yards (won)

HUGE WEEKEND, 6-0 and now I need Montreal to beat Edmonton -2.5 without star QB Ricky Ray.

"Hey BGO,

Thanks for the compliment,"

Hey Pro:

Thanks for the money. I hope I was able to somewhat pay you back by guiding you to the 2nd half of the Calgary/Hammy game. That's what happens when you help people out. Sometimes they throw a bone back to you.

That Ranek is an animal. I went to the same college that he went to. I think he set some national records when he was there.

Hey BGO,

If Danny Macmanus Hamilton's starting QB was starting I would have stayed away from this card. Pete Gonzalez their second stringer was starting to prepare for next year and test their youth and he is 100% garbage. He did not even throw for 100 yards and looked pathetic. Not sure if you can watch the games where you are but after the 1st half Calgary should have been up by at least 7 more points so the 2nd half was a steal. Montreal line moved to 3.5 at most places so the word is out that Ricky Ray will not start this game. Good luck on your picks, did you take the BC/WIN over??

Pro:

Hamilton-
I'll have to watch next week to see who is starting at QB. The cfl.ca web site didn't mention anything about Crandell being out but I did get that info at tsn.ca so that helped.

Montreal-
I got it at -2.5.

Win/BC OVER-
Cash in the bank! That's why I was watching it so closely.

I can't watch the games where I am. I did find out that Pinnacle has halftime bets but they are shortly before the game/half starts.

Good luck and thanks again.

Hey BGO,

Pinny has 1st half lines but do not post during the halftime. Greek, Bowmans and 365 has the 2nd half CFL lines and it is a great tool to know who is playing well and to know who is getting ball. Glad to see you got 2.5 on Montreal and lets hope Cavillo has a HUGE 1st half to sustain the win for Montreal. Doubt he plays the whole game as they have already clinched the East but I think him playing 1st half is HUGE.

Man ruff way to go out. Ricky Ray ended up playing and if I knew this I would have bet Edmonton. The Edmonton news paper is normally solid with their information and it was quoted that Ray would not play. Montreal had the game won on an interception that was called back for an invisable hold on the defensive back?? Worst call of the year, I guess you can't win them all but that was a costly loss. With the loss now 38-22 on the season. Hopefully Pittsburgh can close off my monster teaser with a win over the sad Browns. Well now we need to focus on next week and here is my forecast:

HAM +12 WPG (52)

MTL +5 BC (56)

TOR +3.5 OTT (56.5)

CAL +11 SSK (53)
