My projected lines:

HAM +12 WPG (52)

MTL +5 BC (56)

TOR +3.5 OTT (56.5)

CAL +11 SSK (53)

ACTUAL LINES:

HAM +14 WPG (53)

MTL +2.5 BC (56.5)

TOR PICK OTT (56.5)

CAL +9.5 SSK (52.5)

I was off be 1/2 on each total and I see the books got a little bit of a opinion on the lines.

EARLY PLAYS AND I WILL EXPLAIN WHY LATER:

BC -2.5
SASK -9.5

I mistakenly posted this in the college football forum. Sorry.

This week the Montreal Alouettes fly into Vancouver to play the BC Lions. The end of the season in a lot of sports offers good times to bet.

BC is at 9-6 this year vying for a playoff spot at home in the dome. That gives BC the motivation to win here. Montreal has wrapped up the East title with a 12-3 record and looked lackluster against Edmonton last week so they have nothing to gain with a victory here.

BC should have all the reason to win in this game. They beat Montreal earlier in the season so they have the talent to get it done. Add to the fact that they have dome-field advantage and you should have an easy cover by the Lions.

BC -2 over Montreal

Normally I don't like to bet a large spread, however I feel I'll take a chance this week. We have a bad Hamilton club playing against Winnipeg.

Winnipeg has a playoff berth wrapped up but they are still vying for home-field advantage in the playoffs so they have the motivation to win here. Another key to why I think Winnipeg will come out blazing is because they have lost their last 3 games by close margins. Add in the fact that Winnipeg is at home and the fact that Winnipeg won the earlier contest 37-20 in Hamilton and we have a team set to bust it up against the hapless Tiger-Cats.

Winnipeg -14 over Hamilton

BGO,

I could not agree with you anymore. I already got Winny -14, Winny Moneyline. I also took props Winny under 290.5 passing yards. This game will be done early.

Frickin' lazy Winnipeg team! Couldn't cover at home against Hammy. I'm fading these guys in the playoffs!

Hey BGO,

It was a sick game. Winny was up 13-0 going into the half and it looked like they were going to run away with the game. Then Khari got hurt and it was downhill, they almost lost the game outright. I hit on the moneyline and the passing yards under, lost on the spread. (2-1) on the night not a bad way to start. BC tonight -2.5.

Final score: BC 28, Montreal 24.

Sometimes I don't know which I prefer, the money or the boost to my ego for winning.

Hey BGO,

The money is the reason why we gamble. Hit BC large and lost a little on the total. 1-1 on the day. Will post my Monday plays tomorrow night.

Waiting for the props to come out but I teased SASK -2.5 with RAMS -3. Also teased SASK -2.5 and SF/SEA over 37. Black Lab told me he likes OTT -1 and SASK -9.5 tomorrow. I have to agree with those plays if I had to bet a side. Toronto should lose but with playoff implications on this game, I just don't know. Love Sask playing Feterik at home, should be a blowout. Only played my 2 teaser plays for now.

Pro:

What is the structure of the playoffs? In other words, how many games are played and who gets in?

Thanks.

I'm going with Sask -5.5 (1st half). I think they'll come out strong at home against a Calgary team that is out of the playoffs.

1st half score- Sask. 11, Calgary 9.

Aren't these guys (Sask.) motivated to get into the playoff hunt by beating Calgary which is a team with no playoff hopes???

Oh well, can't get too upset about it. I figure it's cheaper than learning a trade by going to college. I just paid for a class in handicapping the CFL.

Hey BGO,

6 teams make the playoffs. 1st place in East and West gets a buy and home field for their only game. 3-6 play but the #2 team in the East gets home field (Toronto or Ottawa) and they will play #6 (Sask, Winny or BC). I watched that Sask game and it looked rigged. Sask seemed like they did not care about the ball, running three times @ 10 yard line and goal?? Key players fumbling the ball, one play the Back looked like he threw the ball on purpose. Wide outs were running with the ball out and three players around them from the opposite team. Oh well with a two point Sask win I have to swallow the loss.

Here is my forecast for next weeks odds:

MTL +2 TOR (53)

WPG +6 EDM (57.5)

BC -8 HAM (53)

SSK -4 CAL (51)

Thanks Pro. Looks like I have another team to fade for the playoffs (Sask.). I see where there was a fumble recovery by Calgary that was returned for a TD.

I'm thinking that BC at Ham game looks good if it goes off at -8 with BC still vying for playoff advantage.

Hey BGO,

I will be out of town for the weekend so I am going to give my plays right now.

EDM -6
BC -10 DEPENDING ON WEATHER
TOR +4.5

Going extremely large on Edmonton as they need this game to clinch the division. Will play BC if the wind is not to bad in Hamilton as they need this game for home field. Will play Toronto because Cavillo will not play the 2nd half.

I like EDM too since they will be playing that weak-tit give-up team Winnipeg. I also like TOR since they will be getting points at home against MTL who has clinched. Good calls.

What do you think about Calgary getting +3 at home against Sask.? I'm thinking Calgary beats Sask. at home.

Toronto up big over Montreal. Just like last year after they clinched, the Als take it easy to rest for the playoffs.

Thanks for the tip Pro.

So far 2-0 for the weekend. NOT PLAYING BC -10 I heard it is raining and the wind is pretty high. Taking Tory Davis over 60.5 yards rushing and Dave Dickenson under 360.5 yards passing.

Troy Davis goes over and Dave Dickenson does not even hit 200 yards. 2 more wins under the belt and here is the early play:

Winnipeg -2.5 (-120) buying 1/2 point over Edmonton. I will explain why later.
