What a game. Needed Toronto BIG and they win by 8. I literally bet 10 times more on the Argo's then the 2nd half over. I jumped on over 24 because all of the other books had 26 and normally I don't jump the gun but the book got me for a small amount on the sucker line. HUGE WIN with Argo's needed that big time. Win with Argos 26-14 and the 2nd half over loss 26-15. I really don't mind the 2nd half as it was really small but Argo's was HUGE.

NEXT PLAY:

CAL +3.5 1ST QRT

Cal returns a missed FG for a TD, 9 mins left in the 1st quarter but this is 98% done.

Calgary up 8-3 1st Quarter. Had Calgary +3.5 27-15. Calgary looks good but Cal WR are dropping balls. I liked Calgary +8.5 and the moneyline but did not have the guts for the plays. I will post a halftime play.

Proplaye:

You called it. Toronto over Hammy!!! If you're ever in the Phoenix area I owe you a beer. Hell, I'll even take you out on the town.

The Calgary 1st quarter score was 8-3 Calgary and you had that one. The latest score I have on that game is 10-8 Edmonton. Good luck on the final.

Thanks again man. I'm 2-1 with your CFL picks with Winnipeg and now Toronto while losing the Montreal game. Let's kick some ass!

Hey BGO no problem at all. I like to make money and help others make money too. Big Tex you can go to www.tsn.ca and click on CFL on the side and you will get updates. I actually get to watch the games.

2nd half play OVER 27.5

Look out for a shootout. Crandell looks GREAT and Ray got robbed for a TD in the end zone.

Hey anytime Peter, I may be a king but not a god... LOL, I lost the 2nd half (27-16) but small came out up very BIG this weekend. There was a major fight that sucked the air out of the offenses and got the D's extremely pumped. People thought I was crazy when I told them that Calgary was gonna win this game outright. Back to business very busy week with NFL week 1 starting, here is my forecast:

CAL +5 EDM (54.5)
HAM +9 OTT (55)
BC -3 SSK (56.5)
TOR +8 WPG (56)

Can't wait to do some research on those picks and give my opinions.

Is there any web page you know of where I can get the spreads on games in the past?

ACTUAL ODDS:

CAL +10 EDM (55)
HAM +8 OTT (55.5)
BC -3.5 SSK (57.5)
TOR +10.5 WPG (55.5)

Very close overall other than Calgary. They are really giving Edmonton a lot of respect here. I know that Edmonton is a different team at home and they should have won that game in Calgary. This will be interesting, here is my early play:

OTT -2 & CAL/EDM OVER 49 TEASER

P.S. BGO I have no idea where to find old CFL odds.

Here are the numbers for the Cal/Edm game. I'll try to get more as time allows.

Looks like Edm is a powerhouse at home and that's probably why they're giving 10 points. However, Calgary proved last week that it can play with this team. Edm won the earlier match between these two teams in Edm in June by the score of 34-24.

Here are the stats-

Cal-

Home (2-4-0):
Points scored for- 122
Points scored against- 155

Away (1-4-0):
Points scored for- 87
Points scored against- 181

Total (3-8-0):
Points scored for- 243
Points scored against- 336

Average yards for- 320.8
Average yards against- 380.7

Edm-

Home (4-1-0):
Points scored for- 200
Points scored against- 124

Away (3-3-0):
Points scored for- 134
Points scored against- 135

Total (7-4-0):
Points scored for- 322
Points scored against- 259

Average yards for- 372.6
Average yards against- 316.5

Great post BGO,

Now I don't have to say that Edmonton scores an average of 40 points at home. This includes the 14 point disaster against Montreal week 1 when they were not clicking yet. Love the over teased with Ottawa at home playing a very BAD Hamilton team. Just doubled my play. GL & look out for my NFL picks that I will start in a new thread.

Speaking of starting a new thread, have you considered a new thread for CFL each week? Just a suggestion.

Year-to-date stats can be misleading, especially when one team is doing well lately so I won't be posting the others. I will point out that Hamilton is horrible on the road. The nearest they've come within the winner is 13 points. My only concern with this game is whether Ottawa will suffer a let-down from beating Montreal last week.

That OVER bet is starting to look good considering Edmonton is averaging around 50 points per game in their last 3 at home.

Ottawa is a very tuff team to beat at home beating Sask, Mon, Tor and to add to their list Hamilton. Loading up on Ottawa at home and adding a well rested BC Lions team with Dave Dickenson. I predict Dave scores 30 against a Sask D that has looked average of late. I think Green gets his act together an dscores high 20's at the bare minimum.

Adding another Teaser:

OTT -2 & BC/SASK OVER 50

Hey, I like getting Ott for -2. I'm concerned they will suffer a let-down after beating Mtl last week. I do believe they will beat Ham, I'm just concerned about how much. I may take them in a teaser with the OVER in the Edm game.

Speaking of having a game off, in baseball that can really give a team a new start. It seems teams in the CFL have been doing well after having the week off so I like that BC pick.

I'm going to look closely at Mtl next week for that same reason. Mtl will also have a revenge factor for getting beat by Ott so they have something to prove.

LMAO,

I go 2-0 in NFL and a couple of people think I lied about the line I got. For those who follow this thread you will see on page #2 that I had Washington at a PICK. Anyways it is going to be a really nice day for football tomorrow and I don't think Ed Hervey is that much of a difference in this one. Sticking to my gut instinct TEASER:

CAL/EDM OVER 50
OTT -2

I really like that OTT & BC/SASK teaser. As I've mentioned before I have reservations about OTT having a let-down over the victory against MTL last week. I do believe they will beat HAM at home. BC is well-rested so they should put up some numbers against a SASK defense that has given up an average of almost 40 points per game in their last 4.

OTT -2 & BC/SASK OVER 50

I think with EDM averaging around 50 points per game in their last 3 at home that the OVER is good by itself. This will be a grudge match due to the big fight in last week's game in Calgary so the teams won't be afraid of running up the score.

CAL/EDM OVER 56.5

BC has had the week to rest and that can give a decided edge to a team. They also have looked good lately as they have a 7-1 record in their last 8. They score an average of 32 points on the road while giving up an average of 22 points on the road. SASK averages 34 points at home while giving up an average of 27 points at home. I'm taking ProPlaye's advice and going with BC.

BC -3 at SASK

I think I'll just throw some lunch money on ProPlaye's other two suggestions.

CAL +11.5 at EDM (it moved from +10.0)

TOR +10.5 at WPG

Thanks for the advice ProPlaye and good luck!
