Hell Middleton lead the Bucks to the finals once Giannis got hurt in the ECF. Then Bucks get eliminated in 2nd round when Middleton is hurt. Maybe Middleton should demand that he be treated as the best player on the team.

You thinking that shot went under the radar is clearly wrong, almost everyone reading this would agree with that. That shot/series made his career, everyone remembers it and it is/was referenced a ton.

he’s been eating off that series for years, perhaps in the rugged underground pool halls of Cleveland the lebron block got more play I dunno, but that shot is like top 3-4 shots that everyone remembers

ultimately nationally no one really cared about Kyrie Irving back then, lebron James on the other hand is the most polarizing force in American life besides Teflon Don, so it was often brought up against him (including on this site by some peoplwemotional people) but you thinking his performance in that series went under the radar is weird.

Celtics fans hopes and dreams were built on his play in that series, Nets as well but alas here we are…

I don't think Kyrie's shot is underrated in the least.

But if it is....it's because Lebron is obviously the more iconic player. Very simple.

If it's about Lebron just having more of a platform then yeah I guess it's fair to chalk it up to that. But no question the chase down block more recognition. The chase down block being the play from that game that got nominated for Play of the Year ESPY in 2016 is pretty much the ultimate mainstream metric that solidifies how the two plays were covered

I think there was an under appreciation for Kyrie in general from our fan base. The guy got even better the following season after the championship, Cavs looked unreal in 2017 but everyone knew Golden State was going to demolish anyone they played. Kyrie went on to average 30 in that Finals too

Point being he's feasting off more than just that series (though his brilliance in that series is something the Paul George's of the world would strive to have on their resume)

The chase down block was obviously the harder and more impressive play.

The 3 point shot was huge based off place and time.

Lebron and many others could hit a 3 like that...only a few players in the league could have made that block and kyrie isn't one of them.

But the bet has to encompass the rest of Kyrie's career. That could be a long time. What happens to you in that time? What happes to me in that time? Yea, I feel pretty confident that I'd win that bet. Cryrie does suck. But the time needed to conclude the bet makes it a dumb bet. My bad for proposing it.

Boy, our team sucked last night, Willie. And what is with this free throw disease that they have aquired in the playoffs? And sloppy ball handling? I'll give the Miami D credit. They have been smothering. I've never seen Tatum so off his game - all aspects of his game. But the Cs are capable of much better than last night. And we need Robert Williams back. We need all hands on deck to counter this team.

Half the C's turnovers are bad decisions and soft passes, A/K/A unforced turnovers. Maybe they got away with it against other teams, IDK

Tatum looked so damn soft, but I think he will rebound from that performance

And BamBam doesn't go off vs Robert Williams. They are deep, but everyone has a roll and they do need everyone at this point in the season

Yea. 25 turnovers is nuts for a team who has an NBA Championship in sight. Yup. Many are unforced. That's the part that drives me the most nuts.

What's with the free throw problem. Where the hell did that come from?

Let's say this - if they continue to give away points at the free throw line and turn the ball over they can never be champions. It won't happen. So they better get their act together. And we need "A" games out of Tatum. As he goes, they go.
