you seem like the hard line catholic where my religion is right must covert others and other religions are wrong....if you don't believe you are screwed......
just saying many other religions developed throughout the course of mankind might be worth exploring them
but what do i know....
Slow down, that's not what I'm saying. I do not believe that Catholics are the only ones with a path to God.
Jews don't need salvation through Christ because they're already "saved" (in the Christian sense of the word since the idea of being "saved" isn't Jewish ideology) through the act of God handing down the Ten Commandments to Moses and His chosen people, the Jews.
Christians, however, can ONLY achieve salvation through Christ and not through the OT teachings since they weren't God's original chosen people. God thus had to come to Earth in the form of a perfect Man (Christ) in order to spread a New Covenant, which for Christians, is the equivalent of the Old Testament but does NOT supercede the OT. Thus, both Jews and Christians have now been provided a path to God.
As you can see, I don't believe in the idea of supercessionism, which I admit many Christians, including some Catholics, erroneously believe.
