sure was Carl, and he did it again in the final pairing Championship Sunday- 135 mph clubhead speed , high drawing fuckin bomb-- no fear .

To have that length and can putt? cmon. Par 4 8th 453yds- tough hole that places a premium on the tee shot , back left pin tucked behind the water, brutal-- safety iron off the tee 267 yds, 186 to the flag-- 8 iron, -- what's there to say? Conditions were tough and some untouchable pins. Tough break for Lee at 18 following a great tee shot landing in a divot...but he has to look at 16- 5 footer for bird to tie, missed

fun watch today, golf is the greatest game in the world............ True story

at age 23 he had won 11 PGA titles and THREE majors. Then fell off the map ,............ putting yips , cant hit a fairway to save his life.....zero confidence........... IS he back?

last 6 tournaments - 4 top 10's, including the final pairing Sunday at The Genesis. He's in the final pairing again today, in his home state, can Jordan end a 4 yr winless drought?

Wallace -12
Spieth -12
Hoffman -10
Tringale -8

Augusta next week, a course he knows well, a former winner and arguably the origin of his issues . 2016 a stunning epic collapse, Sunday at Augusta ---TWO in the water at the 12th, 7 on the card......

gl to Jordan today!!!!!!

ANA Inspiration ( a woman's Major)-- a reminder of golf's global reach- a rookie , 21 yrs young from Thailand pretty much laps the field. Hits it a mile

great interview from Mickelson yesterday-- with golf tech., advances all across the board Augusta is largely exposed, if its to stay as a par 72, would be a shame if they'd change that. That back 9 allows for runs/drama, great theatre. He's dead on in that its defense is the greens, that's it-- Exactly what he said. Greens soften? we saw what happened in Nov- lowest score to ever win and first player in the history of The Masters to shoot 4 rounds in the 60's (C Smith)

Well, according to players the greens are crazy slick this year, Garcia saying he's never seen them this fast this early in the tournament. Hopefully no rain!

Sets the stage for a winner that liekly has played the course plenty of times and knows where to hit it. Also, better bring 'A' short game this week

Koepka fresh off surgery didnt sound overly optimistic , states he has limited range of motion with the knee...why play?

they have removed the 1st cut of rough on a few holes

fun facts;

D Johnson's last 5 trips to Augusta ALL top 10 showing
DeChambeau has had 4 trips here- never a top 10, best showing tied 21st

“It’s going to be pretty spicy if they keep progressing the conditions, the greens are pure, they’re as fast and firm as I’ve seen them in a long time,” said Kevin Kisner, who was born and raised a half-hour from Augusta. “The golf course is just playing drastically different (than November), totally different shot shapes around the greens and into the greens.”

“Potentially less than 10-under par is a winning score, where it requires a lot more course knowledge about where you leave the ball, and you have to hit an even more precise shot to get it where you want it to go,” Jordan Spieth said on Monday, an hour after arriving victoriously from Texas. “I think the firmer the better.

in 2019, final pairing on Sunday Woods tried to play a draw overcooked it --headed left, off a tree and into the middle of the fairway.... birdied the hole and went on to win, a historic vistory it was...golf Gods ...:)

its the toughest tee shot for the defending champion,DJ, imo..think he takes out 3 wood all week

DraftKings in NJ offering boosted odds for any player to play Amen Corner 4 under par or better at +1750 in first round. It's just about impossible. Requiring a player to hit two birdies and an eagle. If the greens are fast I think the odds are a lot higher than 17.5-1.

wow, agreed should be more than +1750 . 11th is one the toughest holes and historically pin is tucked left for the first 2 days-- no one likely goin' at that pin...

possible rain Friday, but Thursday looking clear .

nearly fell off my chair when i saw this, Faxon is taking some heat at golf forums/social media for his pick at number 10

https://golf.com/news/best-putter-all-time-brad-faxon-list/

10. Rory McIlroy – ‘Call me crazy’

Rory? @)

cmon Brad.....

a few ;

'I like Brad. But the McIlroy pick disqualifies his opinions. (And Faxon was a far better putter than Rory ever thought about being.)'
'
'Rory Mcilroy……”call me crazy”. Ok I will. He has never been a good putter.

big day ...:)

Final round at The Wells Fargo, the course is just brutal with the ending 3 hole stretch as tough as it gets. The 18th is a fuckin beast, no birdies yesterday with the pin tucked short left. Traditional Sunday pin placement is back left

not a lot of respect for Mitchell as he's +250 to win depsite a 2-shot lead, he has been driving it lights out for awhile now

K Mitchell -9
R McIlroy -7
Woodland -6
List - 5

lurking names : Reed, Hovland at -4

Rory had the putter going yesterday, interestingly he's battling issues with the driver!! Aint his normal self, it appears the beautiful high draw maybe kaput. He had this to say with the newer drivers , paraphrasing- 'its hard to turn it over, not natural anymore'. This newer tech., seems to want to keep everything as straight as possible , maybe ditch the Sim2 and go back to the Sim . Dunno

tremendous day in golf ; two-time major champion Ariya Jutanugarn (THA) with a scorching 63 to win her National Championship, an emotional win. Great scene, kudos

“This means the world to me. Since 2013, it’s been one of my biggest dreams to win in Thailand. I’d like to thank the fans for always believing in me. This win is for all of you,” said Jutanugarn who has been playing at the Siam Country Club since 2007 when she was just 11.

Mitchell broght the 'C' short game out today looked like a mid-handicapper on a few of those chips, wtf. HORSES for COURSES, now 10 trips to Quail Hollow and Rory has three wins, 8 top 10's. Putter , again, sublime while the driver was so so. Great sand saves at 14, 15. Disturbing snap at 18 with 3-wood in hand off the tee, but how about that 8 iron off a downhill half buried lie? A CHAMPION'S SHOT :). PGA win number 19 and he's back

what the fuck is goin' on in the Asian world? the woman's game of course is dominated by the East, the men's game is now showing greater imprints. Matsuyama at a Major and this week K.H Lee of S. Korea CRUISES on Championship Sunday at the Byron Nelson

Lee is a 4-time winner in Asia.........BIG win today

Taylor Made Golf, a MASSIVE brand name , was bought this past week by a South Korean company. S Korea not too long ago had 200 golf courses built-- its now up to 500, lol

haha, douchebag Brooks doin' his thing. He took a cheap shot at DJ Saturday post-round before the last yr's PGA. What a goof, then proceeds to shit the bed with a 74. Nearly everyone worth a damn was shooting 66-69, ..he became Paul Casey's cheerleader

Brooks , grow up dude, and focus on improving your final rounds at major's when in contention cause recently ,..well........ kinda gaggin'....

2019- British Open- 74
2020 PGA Championship - 74- shit the bed, conditions were benign
2021- PGA Championshop - 74 (in the final pairing with a SENIOR......it included a 7 on a par 5 and two 6's on other par 5's,lol)

not so good for a chap who proclaims to focus on the majors, humbling game Brooks

the USGA needs to pair the two for the US Open..so when Bryson outdrives him consistently for two days Brooks will lose a gasket...'my knee is acting up'..@)

twitterverse decoded what Bryson said to Koepka to provoke that reaction

Bryguy heard Koepka talking about the difficulty in putting with those winds and Bryson murmured "you just gotta start it on the right line"

kinda funny since Bryson was a negative in Strokes Gained Putting while Brooks was a positive
