Since these to are NOT charged with murder but rather Felony Murder - that means, the tracking of the guy with a gun was a felony and in the commission of that felony Aubery wound up dead - the father is a former police officer - he has spent his life and is trained to chase suspects of breaking and entering - now that he is retired - he is suddenly supposed to forget all that training? what is standard protocol for retired cops in real life? Certainly an off duty police officer would be justified here
I didn't see him pointing a gun. But hypothetically if he did without an attack from Arbery first that would probably be self defense by Arbery then. You are allowed to carry but if you point a gun that I believe would make it illegal. But following the guy is not a felony. Therefore felony murder doesn't make much sense. If they really want to I am sure they will find a way to put them away. But if it happens they did point a gun without a reason.....that's a problem. That is different than asking questions or trying to get him to stay for police

He was up to no good casing a house to burglarize it. Moments later when someone discovers him in the house he takes off. The father and son see him running and have reasonable cause to believe he was committing a burglary. Things spiraled from there. Manslaughter at the most with a small prison sentence. Bottom line, ahmaud put himself in a bad situation and he was up to no good. If he was simply out for a jog he would still be alive. Of course the media mob has everyone convinced he was lynched by white supremacists. That didnt happen. I want to see his running shoes, I want to know where he lived.
