By law in that state, they were allowed to try & detain suspect, in which video & witnesses prove him to be, until authorities arrive.

The suspect took it upon himself to attack & try to take the gun away from the citizen attempting to detain him.

The suspect is the only one who broke the law here, and on more than one instance.

Was it right in some people's eyes the way the 2 men went about this?

Personally think both get convicted of nothing - the only thing that could swing the case against these two is the guy filming - he appears to be the only eye witness - worried they are gonna threaten to charge him if he doesn't tell the story they want to hear - good thing is - he has stated what happened immediately following altercation - and u can rest assure it helps these two - so he would be changing his story and lose all credibility
