Pilot had been with the airline since 1981. The idea he out of the blue turned into a religious fanatic willing to go kamikaze is far fetched.
More about the pilot;

A 777 needs a 1 mile paved runway. This is not a C-130 that can land on a dirt strip.With the new info about the radar pings way out in the Indian Ocean, and the plane having 5 hours of fuel, I'm thinking this plane was stolen and has been landed somewhere. I doubt someone flies that far to commit suicide.
I'm wondering if it will be used to, say, deliver a nuclear bomb.

There aren't that many such runways in that part of the world and they all have population around them. And not many hangars.Doable but not expected for a terror type group.
If you really think someone took the plane and landed it you'd have to think a nation's military was involved.
Which seems at least vaguely plausible given the ridiculous delays in sharing information.
Though you'd want to check the passenger manifest carefully so you would have an idea of who the target might be.
I totally believe it was a suicide mission on the pilot's part.....30,000 ft, into the water in 4.2 seconds. 239 passengers and not 1 distress text was sent....tells you passengers were unaware of any trouble or were out of range, I am not really sure of the whole range thing.
The United States will find the plane. It's in the Indian Ocean. Not that ever in history these types of things would be left unsettled, but in this day and age, more than ever....they're going to get to the bottom of it.
Two U.S. officials tell ABC News the U.S. believes that the shutdown of two communication systems happened separately on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. One source said this indicates the plane did not come out of the sky because of a catastrophic failure.
The data reporting system, they believe, was shut down at 1:07 a.m. The transponder -- which transmits location and altitude -- shut down at 1:21 a.m.
Being there were no distress texts sent...I guess there's always the chance these people could've been somehow gas by something. And the plane just continued to fly on its own, while everyone on board was dead or unconscious. Leave it to the US to figure it out though.
