Of course you're right. I agree. End of discussion. What gun should I buy tomorrow?

The baddest fucker you can afford.

Short barrel shotgun is best for home defense or those with poor aim....not legal everywhere. Just became legal in Indiana on July 1st....bought my wife one a week later.

I've only used a shotgun once. It was pretty cool.

This is what the provisions should be.

The law specifies exactly what categories of crimes fall under it, it mandates that offenders be sentenced to the law's maximum allowable extent for the committed felony, and that the mandatory sentences must be completed consecutively to any additional sentence an offender must serve.
The law's name comes from three main mandatory sentences: 1) producing a firearm during the commission of certain felonies mandates at least a 10-year prison sentence; 2) firing one mandates at least a 20-year prison sentence; and 3) shooting someone mandates a minimum sentence of 25 years to life regardless of whether a victim is killed or simply injured. The maximum penalty is a life sentenceunless the defendant is charged with felony murder or first degree murder in which case the maximum is the death penalty.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP]
In addition to the "10-20-Life" rule itself, the law also established or increased other mandatory minimum sentences:[SUP][2][/SUP]

I keep checking into CNN to see if these guys have been caught yet...LOL

Not yet.....Well over 24 hours on the run.

Nothing is being leaked out to the public.

I`m thinking that they don`t even know who these guys are......I say that because,if they knew who they were they would probably release their pictures to the news so they can be posted all over the air waves and the internet.

I always go back to the Boston Marathon.....When those FBI agents did great work by checking every camera on the street and they were able to find footage of those 2 brothers carrying those back packs and laying them down....And they posted those images every where for the public to see.

I`m sure they checked every camera in the area to see these guys actually doing the crime and running away.

I guess not though.

My daughter and son-in-law gave me a Henry for Christmas 2 years ago. Sweet looking gun.

Stats show your much more likely to shoot one of them with that gun than an intruder. Be careful.

Don't disagree Vit. You'll be called argumentative and there's no place for that kind of behavior on a forum. Just go along with the status quo.

The foot patrol should have been waived off 1 hr after the shooting. They are gone.

Stats also show there's a better possibility you are a homosexual than I have of shooting my daughter or son-in-law.

At least eight people were wounded in shootings from Friday evening to Saturday morning, police said.

About 5 a.m. Saturday, a 23-year-old man was shot in South Austin, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
He went to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip and told police he was shot near the 300 block of North Cicero Avenue. He was listed in good condition. Police said he was being uncooperative with their investigation, so no further information was available about the shooting.
At 4:55 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in East Garfield Park, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman. He went in to Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm and said he had been shot in the 3800 block of West Madison Street. He was listed in good condition.

At 4:40 a.m., a 24-year-old man also was shot in East Garfield Park, Estrada said.
He was in a car in the 3300 block of West Warren Boulevard when he heard shots. He realized he had been hit in the buttocks and went to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
Ten minutes earlier, a 30-year-old man was shot in Logan Square, Estrada said.
He was a passenger in a vehicle in the 1600 block of North Humboldt Boulevard when a black SUV pulled up alongside and someone inside fired shots.
The man was hit in the back and taken to Norwegian American Hospital, then transferred to Stroger Hospital. His condition was stabilized.
At 3:05 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in West Pullman, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
He was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign in the 200 block of East 118th Place. A van pulled alongside and someone inside fired shots, hitting him in the lower back.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and his condition was stabilized.
At 12:20 a.m., a 27-year-old man accidentally shot himself in East Garfield Park, Greer said.
He was on a porch in the 3800 block of West Adams Street when he shot himself in the thigh by accident. He was taken to Mount Sinai, and his condition was stabilized.
About 8:15 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in West Pullman, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.
He was in the 11600 block of South Elizabeth Street when he was shot in the left leg. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.
Witnesses told police they heard shots and saw someone running in an alley, Alfaro said.
At 6:10 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in South Shore, Alfaro said.
He was shot in the right leg in the 2000 block of East 75th Street, and took himself to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The wound may have been self-inflicted, authorities said.

FOX LAKE – Fox Lake Police Lt. Joseph Gliniewicz was shot twice with his own gun, Lake County investigators said Thursday.

What investigators believe was the first shot went into the front of Gliniewicz’s bulletproof vest on the right side, and would have incapacitated him, Lake County Major Crime Task Force Cmdr. George Filenko said at a news conference outside the Fox Lake Police Department.
“A comparison was made. It would be similar to that of a sledgehammer hitting you in the side,” Filenko said.
The second shot, which Filenko said was the fatal one, struck Gliniewicz in the area of his upper-left chest.
Filenko would not say whether the fatal shot was fired around or pierced the bulletproof vest.
Timeline of Fox Lake police shooting, manhunt
Filenko said investigators continue to pursue the case as a homicide, although officials have not officially ruled it as a homicide, suicide, accident or undetermined.
Filenko said there were indications of a struggle at the crime scene, but gunshot residue tests were inconclusive in discerning who fired Gliniewicz’s .40 caliber service weapon.
“The weapon could have been fired by Lt. Gliniewicz, or he could have been in close proximity of the weapon being fired,” Filenko said.
Filenko would not expand on what the signs of a struggle were or if other shots were fired. Thursday’s update came one month into the investigation of Gliniewicz’s shooting death. Gliniewicz, 52, was shot and killed Sept. 1 near a shuttered concrete plant in the 100 block of Honing Road while he investigating three suspicious men, described as two white men and one black man.
Investigators Thursday also revealed more details about the morning Gliniewicz was shot. A GPS unit in Gliniewicz’s squad car showed he was on foot in the area for about 20 minutes before he radioed to dispatch that he was investigating the individuals, Filenko said.
Police have previously said Gliniewicz was assigned to patrol the area, which has been the source of complaints about vandalism, squatting and drugs.
The 30-year veteran of the police department initially told a dispatcher he didn’t need a backup unit, Filenko said. He asked for backup at 7:55 a.m., officers arrived at 8:01 a.m., and Gliniewicz’s body was found at 8:09 a.m. about 50 yards from his vehicle, police have said.
Filenko revealed investigators located nine DNA samples from unknown sources – a typical amount for a similar crime – on Gliniewicz’s things at the crime scene, and three of those pieces were of high enough quality to be run through the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System (CODIS). One of the DNA samples has been identified as coming from a male, Filenko said.

The entire gun laws need to be overhauled.

Think how dumb it is to blame everything but the weapon. You see any mass stabbing deaths? Anything else that kills dozens of people in seconds? What need is there for a citizen to have automatic killing machines? What about background checks at gun shows?

im glad one of the victims fathers in the latest Virginia shooting on tv is taking on gun laws. Good for him in the memory of his daughter.
as the country continues to dive further into a shithole, and dependency on social programs increase, you think it's a good idea to start disarming citizens?
