everyone I've heard is convinced it will be Jesse vs Walt next year and maybe Walt vs Hank but I feel like I've already seen Walt vs Jesse for the last 4 seasons. I think there are many potential enemies for Walt....could be Hank or Jesse but could also be remaining Cartel people, the rest of the people that worked for Gus (i.e. Mike and other goones), could be another drug syndicate that wants to take over this newly available territory.

I think Walt and Jessie keep cookin and are the kingpins now and they make Mike a partner 33% for his expertise in what he does which Walt and Jessie need. Also he know Gus's distribution routes which they need. So Mike is happy with a huge raise.

Ive always suspected at some point as Hank is closing in on Walt, Walt makes him an offer to join up. think about it, the show is about good people being corrupted. What does Hank have? post traumatic stress disorder after the explosion in the desert. he got all shot up by the cartel. what does he have to look forward to if he goes back to his job? more of the same and a crummy pension? Walt can make him a $$$$$ offer.

not discounting your theory but this seems like way too happy of an ending, and sounds like it would make for a bit of a boring season.

hank is a hardline guy, i dont see him flipping like that or becoming corrupted, especially after everything hes been through. i think hank early on in the seeason will piece together walt acting so damn weird about giving him rides to places, asking weird questions, his being unwilling to put the car tracker on the car and how he did that on the way out, and - the key - how he caused the car accident at the laundry, right before the laundry blows up and reveals a giant methlab a handgun and 2 dead bodies, with a nod to lax.
i think its gonna be jesse vs walt, hank vs walt, mike vs walt, and i think skylar is weak as hell and is going to flip on walt
and i agree with the other poster, hanks wife is fucking terrible.

I wouldn't be surprised if it just came down to everyone vs walt (in their own way).

That's exactly what the creators' vision was for the show, shdw. Great observation. They took a real risk taking a really really good guy and turning him into a bad guy over the course of the series with (at least according to their interviews) no intention of turning him back.

I stick by my stance that Hank will not be turned. There has to be at least ONE straight shooter (as someone described him earlier) simply too keep Walt honest. If they had planned on turning Hank, I feel like it would've happened way back when, when he was busting up Jesse. They could've had Walt then trying to turn him.

Hank won't turn because WHEN he discovers who Walt really is, there'd be no way Hank could justify siding with him. All of Walt's dealings is what has caused Hank to be hunted down by the cartel brothers, put in a wheelchair and almost permanently paralyzed, accrue thousands and thousands of dollars in hospital bills (you know he's too prideful to "enjoy" Walt and Skylar paying those), whiplashed into a head-on collision with Walt driving, developed an obsession over the blue meth, had a hit put on him and his family, and has the whole DEA telling him he's wrong and crazy.

If he turns, all plausibility this show has, is out the window.

Gus was someone very important in Chile. I wonder if his people come looking for his killer.

It's possible but from the flashback at the cartel's house (where Gus' partner was shot in the head), I had the impression that Gus was "small-time" starting on his own in the meth trade. I think Gus was self-made rather than working his way up the ranks in an organized crime ring.

That was my gut suspicion from the get go. Why would they have Gus walk out of the room like some zombie? Since when does someone that dies in a explosion come walking out and fix their tie? The third person dead could be the lady in the next room that was trying to get Walt's attention? I don't know but I'm thinking Gus makes a reappearance.

That was purely for dramatic effect. We all thought he was alive when he came out and then they reveal his face. If they bring him back it'll be like the show is going backwards. I personally hate that Gus ended up becoming a bad guy. They could have kept him as the nice guy he appeared to be at the beginning.

I have to disagree King. I think Gus Fring will go down as one of the most chilling, believable villains in television history.

gus walking out and fixing his tie I think was so f'n awesome (although I was pissed when I saw it, looking back it was awesome). Things that went through my head in the 5-10 seconds before we see him dead:

1) wtf, he is walking out.....wow, he must've ran and hid in time.
2) no wait, mother fucker knew and had a crazy vest to keep him alive
3) wow, his face looks fucked...he is a fucking terminator robot
4) oh wait, i can see through his eye and into the back of his skull, he is dead
5) there he goes dropping to the floor

Don't know if you guys watch The Walking Dead which will be in that time spot starting this week, but I'm guessing they used one of the makeup guys from that show for Gus after the explosion.

The leader of the Cartel made it clear in the flashback scene that the only reason he let him live just because of who he was, the guy obviously was somebody important back home.

Yea i wasn't sure if he meant because who he is-as in the founder of the chicken place-or the more likely option that back in w/e country he is from(cant remember and too lazy to google currently) his family/he is well known and connected

Nothing can top The Wire, but Breaking Bad is great.

.

Agree with that. Final season starts about a month from now. Can't wait to see how they take the direction with Walt being the top dog now
