I think Walt was behind the poisoning and next week we will see just how bad Walt can be. The battle between Walt and Gus will end with Walt on top, with a crazy ass smile on his face. Next season he will battling the feds and his own brother in law.

You on the payroll at Breaking Bad? Very nice call sir.

I'm thinking a car wash might be a good place for a meth lab

Best show on tv. No other way to describe the show, from beginning to end this season was pretty perfect. The last 5 episodes or so couldn't have been any better. You guys were rite on with it being Walt behind the poisoning, which makes a lot of sense now. When i first saw Gus start walking out i was like how did he live, but then you see him lookin like Harvey Dent and you realize its over. 16 episodes to look forward to whenever it airs next year. Looks like it has to be DEA vs Walt for the final season as i see no where else for the story to take it

Because of what Jesse said in the hospital about the poisoning. It didn't sit right with him and clearly tipped him off that Jesse and Walt were working together again.

how does the kid being poisoned equate to jesse and walt working together
i think i forgot what else jesse said at the point

You have to look at it from Gus' perspective:

Gus had been slowly working Jesse to turn him from being loyal to Walt to being loyal to him.

Gus threatens Walt's family

Jesse doesn't show up to cook meth

Jesse demands to talk to Gus

Gus goes to see Jesse (to see what side Jesse is on)

Jesse tells Gus that he won't cook till he knows that the boy is ok

Gus tells Jesse that he understands but Jesse needs to get back to work

Jesse tells Gus that the boy was poisoned

Gus is surprised and tells Jesse it's ok stay with the kid

Gus went there to find out what side Jesse was on so now:

Gus is thinking to himself, could Walt have poisoned the boy to keep Jesse away from cooking?

Then Gus has a thought? what if Walt poisoned the boy to turn Jesse away from Gus and back to Walt. Then another thought... maybe Jesse already turned and this is a setup???

great great show, I love it when you have to piece everything together from little tid bits... never really knowing if you are right or not.

What show is currently better? Boardwalk Empire is good but it isn't even close to the level of BB. They are miles apart. Seen 3.5 seasons of Sopranos but didnt make it thru anymore, just didn't have enough in there for me and having Tony have stress attacks a million time overdoes it. The Wire>Sopranos all day everyday

I think the reason Gus never got in the car was because he had that device that detects wires and such.

Breaking Bad is better than Boardwalk Empire IMO. I watch both shows religiously. Nothing beats the way Breaking Bad is put together. The direction in Breaking bad is the best on TV that I've ever seen. And the plot lines are pretty original. HBO puts on a lot of great shows, and Breaking Bad is in that class.

I think Breaking Bad is good but The Sopranos is way better in the writing department.

A lot of times Breaking Bad seems cartoonish and unrealistic in the way characters act.

Na man, don't you think they would have showed that? In the inside BB shows on AMC, Gus states that it is due to him being put off by being called down there, told the kid was poisoned, etc. It just seemed odd to him that all this stuff was going on.

Which makes sense knowing he didn't poison the kid

This is why Gus didn't get in the car. He's ALWAYS, for two seasons, been smarter than everyone else. He's quicker to putting pieces together (everyone, from characters on the show to Gilligan the creator himself, joke about Gus's "spidey senses.")

I'm not. Would rather watch it go with an epic conclusion than be dragged on longer than it need be.

I disagree seeing as for me, The Sopranos got kind of tedious in the later seasons. The fact that BrBa set out to turn a really really good guy into a despicable bad guy over the course of the series...and is succeeding...that type of risk, I love it.

And no show, not even The Wire, which is the greatest show ever, built tension like Breaking Bad. Easily one of the best written shows ever.

For me, Breaking Bad is only second (and a very close second) behind The Wire. BrBa is certainly in the upper echelon of HBO programming.

yeah i have no fricking idea where they can go for 16 episodes now that gus is out of the picture

walt is low on cash right? he can still cook meth but has no place to cook.
seems like jesse might question whether walt was behind the kids poisoning.
fallout from the gus murder - there could be remnants of gus's organization looking for revenge. mike you would figure might play a prominent role in the final season.
