Yep , relay is way too tough and too much luck , someone falls down or has a bad day and all other 3 people have to deal with this handicap for the rest of the race . Jonsson would clearly beat Semerenko if she started . Oh well , 1-0 day is ok plus took Henkel top 7 for a unit .

sunday s men sprint

i have

Wolf over Roesch @2.11

Wolf and Birnbacher did not start in relay for germany due to a cold and that s the only reason is see Roesch as a fav in this matchup: sprint rersults this season were 15-64, 11-24 and 19-33 all in favour of Wolf...as he will start today and has some extra rest over Roesch who already ran the relay i hope the cold is not too bad ...as a dog Wolf is definetely great value here.

Suman over Hannevold @1.50

SUman was better in last two sprints (9-18,7-19)..in relay they had similar track time, but overall i like the running form of suman better..he is also the better shooter and win in relay should give an extra boost

Iaroschenko over Pinter @1.74 strong play

iaroschenko is solid shooting and running, while Pinter has no good sprint result at all so far (72th, 23th)..Pinter was faster in relay, but shooting was not too good.
i just dont understand the line actually as iaroschenko is the much better biathlet overall....if i miss something here, ehy the line is not more like 1.5 please tell me before i go really big on this.

Sikora over Tschudov @1.90 big play

matchups in sprint this season 2-26, 4-7, 8-34 all for Sikora. they have at least similar running but sikora better shooting. Tschodov will be better in longer dinstance races like tomorrow.

i am also leaning
iaroschenko over tschodov (2.34)
Sikora over Svendson (2.71) more a value play as heavy dog
greis over tschudov (1.95)

Nothing I like at sportingbet , still checking bwin , pinnacle and unibet , so far I only made one play on Roesch over Birnbacher some hours ago before I saw you bet against him with Wolf , hopefully both of us win , Wolf is same level with Roesch but Birnbacher should be around 30 secs slower .

Sumann over Hanevold is a fair choice , both good shooters and with same amount of errors Sumann should be ahead .

Iaroschenko over Pinter , I am not sure odds look about right , Pinter was 18 seconds better than Iaro in running from relay race so I am not sure who will finish ahead here with same amount of errors/hits .

Sikora slows down with every race it seems and Tchoudov is getting better every time he starts IMO , I would pick Tchoudov .

Actually I just rechecked and Iaroschenko was much better than Pinter in the last sprint , I will make this play as well .

This season : 40-22 + 32.23 units

All : 106-52 +198.51 units

10 January

Start time : 08:20 AM PST

Biathlon - Men: World Cup 10km Sprint Oberhof -Matchups

Andreas Birnbacher vs Michael Rösch

My pick is Michael Rösch to finish ahead

Odds : - 160

Where : pinnaclesports

4 units to win 2.5 units

Roesch showed good form in the relay and Birnbacher hasn't been around for a while . Usually Roesch is around 30 seconds faster than Birnbacher in running and I see it as the case today again . I count on Roesch to finish ahead even with 1 error more but hopefully he can hit all 10 shots , also Roesch takes less time to shoot than Birnbacher who needs more time to aim which with slower running time should add up in around 35 + sec .

i agree to your roesch bet over birnbacher..only thing scares me is that he finished 64th,24th and 33rd in sprints so far..so obviously his shooting was not that good in these races...maybe the sprint doesnt suit him...for me its too much chalk for a guy who has 24th as best sprint result...nevertheless Birnbacher is a definete fade today...

About Birnbacher :

I agree with Birnbacher fade based on these statements .

Will Alexander Os (NOR) finish in the top 5?

My pick is NO

Odds : 1.35

Where : betandwin

2 units to win 0.7 units

I don't think he can do it again like last time , form is unknown but there are too many people now who can be better than him , last time him and Berger were perfect but I don't think such a thing happens twice . Bjorndalen and Svendsen are back this time and many others are in solid form .

PS : Iarochenko is - 140 over Pinter at unibet , nice odds I think ...

Last bet :

10 January

Start time : 08:20 AM PST

Biathlon - Men: World Cup 10km Sprint Oberhof -Matchups

Maksimov, M vs Defrasne, V

My pick is Defrasne, V to finish ahead

Odds : 1,60

Where : unibet

4 units to win 2.4 units

Must try this one , Defrasne is one of the top shooting guys despite a bad start into this season he keeps improving with every race , in the last sprint he finished 5th with 0 error and Maksimov was 40th with 2 errors . Their running times are very close maybe with few seconds edge to Defrasne but he is by far the more reliable in shooting . I count on Defrasne not to make more than 1 error and Maksimov is very unlikely to finish with 0 .

Good luck with the race today :drink:
