i am looking over the girls race right now. i couldnt watch the relays on tv only have your comments...do you think there is something up with the ukraines..not that they sold the races..maybe something with focus or whatever which effects the form....i see it a big problem (and chance) in handicapping that we have Worldchamp this year...some guys really focusing the traing on the main event some on the regular WC....Ukraine people (and you can look it up in other years) usually are very strong in beginning of season , while germans and norwegians usually improve thru the season (especially in running). so maybe the relay was first sign the ukraine is on the downslope already
I dont know but something was wrong with the whole team , first Derkach crashed but still it doesnt explain why he was so slow afterwards unless he hurt himself , second guy was like slowest of all people and the rest I didnt even bother to follow . It was a really horrible effort by them .

Fading ukrainian women today after their men showed a very bad performance yesterday . About Helena I dont have to say much who for those follow biathlon ... top 3 shooter in the circuit . With 0 or 1 error she should finish ahead of those even if they go 0+0 . Khvostenko is solid shooter but she will still lose some time in running which can be around 30 + seconds behind Jonsson and then their shooting performance will decide who finishes ahead so with 1 error more Helena Jonsson has all chances to be in front even if Khvostenko makes no errors .
Vita Semerenko made 3 errors in the relay , with same amount of errors I still see Jonsson in front as she takes less time for shooting and in running she had the edge in the relay however I count on Semerenko to make atleast 1 error more .
In the last two sprints Jonsson finished 4th and 5th , both times with no errors ( 20/20 shots made ) .
