The sad truth is that since people are miserable with their lives they love to see someone successful like brady fail.

IMO he did nothing that any other qb doesn't do and he is laughing all the way to the bank. Haters can do their thing but in the end brady is still the best ever and the ultimate role model in a league full of thugs

ding ding ding...

league paid this goon 5 million dollars.. What outcome you think he was going to come up with.

This report doesn't show anything close enough for a suspension, that's why Vincent and the league kept going after the patriots not cooperating they way they wanted for the harsh punishment.

If this appeal is seen by a truly independent arbitrator, Tom Brady will NOT miss one game from this.

Huh?

The NFL, an organization taking in billions from TV revenue each year, does not want a star QB on television.

That is your contention?

"he will still be thought of as a cheater by the sane among us"

You're a laughable clown.

Brett Farve: "I don't think by any stretch, was Tom cheating." I guess you need to add Brett to your long list of "insane" people that think this whole thing is a fucking witch hunt joke.

(2:10) mark of video.

He was on the insane list long before those comments. Pill popping alcoholic who sends dick pics to jets employees while being married. Yeah, his opinion matters to me.

Go go back to your tom Brady action figures....you look like a bigger fool than usual when discussing this issue.

" mommy, Aaron Rodgers did it so I can do it and lie about it". Good rationale dipshit.

Makes a lot of sense, eh? Not sure how you could convince yourself the NFL would rather have Jimmy Garoppolo starting instead of Tom Brady in it's Thursday Night Kickoff game. I'm sure NBC is pleased as well.

Current ratings are bulletproof.. Goodell needed to save face to rabid fan base, media, and 31 owners.

No way of knowing, but interest in this game will be off the charts; brady
or garrappolo at this point.

do you think the NFL's kickoff game ratings will be down because Brady is suspended? Where football is now in popularity, you take any one player out of opening night and it won't matter, people will always tune in. And with everything that has happened w Brady and the pats - if everything stays the same and jimmy starts, I could see better ratings. More casual viewers will watch.

Ya, it likely hurts ratings. Casual fans tune in to watch great teams and stars. In the NFL, the most visible stars are QBs. It's also incredibly difficult to be a great team without a great QB. Take a look at the SNF matchups. There's a reason Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Romo, Wilson, Brees and Rothlisberger appear multiple times.

You don't think this story will die down a bit in the next 4 months? At that point we will likely be done talking about the suspension and NBC will be left with Roethlisberger vs Garoppolo instead of Roethlisberger vs Brady. Sounds great.

I think there is a better than 50 percent chance his suspension gets reduced or completely thrown out on appeal

This has no logic to it at all.

Do you really believe "31 owners" want harsh punishment and fines as a baseline standard?

Further, if you think CBS & NBC are happy that Brady is out for their games, you are out of your mind.

Anyway, update on "laughed out of court" reports:

WASHINGTON — Two senior Secret Service agents were "more likely than not" impaired by alcohol when they drove a government vehicle through a secure area at the White House earlier this year, a government watchdog concluded in a report released late Wednesday.

Homeland Security Inspector General John Roth found that Marc Connolly and George Ogilvie spent about five hours at a bar during and after a retirement party for a colleague and ran up a "significant" bar tab before driving to the White House on March 4. Their tab included eight glasses of scotch, two vodka drinks, three beers and a glass of wine.

Gee, does that language sound familiar? Or, perhaps this IG is the same sort of uninformed hack as Ted Wells and we can these Pats fans to point out that these lawyers have no idea what they are doing.

It is so funny these fans seem to think that some judge is just going to invalidate the Wells report findings or something.

The conclusions of the Wells Report are, at best, incomplete, incorrect and lack context. The Report dismisses the scientific explanation for the natural loss of psi of the Patriots footballs by inexplicably rejecting the Referee's recollection of what gauge he used in his pregame inspection. Texts acknowledged to be attempts at humor and exaggeration are nevertheless interpreted as a plot to improperly deflate footballs, even though none of them refer to any such plot. There is no evidence that Tom Brady preferred footballs that were lower than 12.5 psi and no evidence anyone even thought that he did. All the extensive evidence which contradicts how the texts are interpreted by the investigators is simply dismissed as “not plausible.” Inconsistencies in logic and evidence are ignored.

======================

this is "COMMON SENSE", that expression haters were throwing around when all they were doing was citing twisted nonsense. Common sense is about a process, it's about reason, it's about thinking.

COMMON SENSE is nothing about
taking texts acknowledged to be attempts at humor and exaggeration are nevertheless interpreted as a plot to improperly deflate footballs, even though none of them refer to any such plot.

wells and goodell embarrassed themselves, they peed their pants' they're a laughingstock in the legal sense and their case would get laughed out of court

if it weren't thrown out after the prosecutions' opening remarks, it would be about half way through the defenses' opening remarks

DISMISSED

don't worry boys, I'm just scratching the service

“Using two different gauges (one of which was used for pre-game psi measurements), the League tested only four Colts footballs at halftime. Three of those footballs measured below regulation on the so-called “non-Logo” gauge. Four measured at or above regulation on the so-called “Logo” gauge. One Colts football averaged below regulation when taking into account both gauges. As soon as that fourth Colts football was measured, League personnel stopped any further gauging of Colts footballs. Relying on the higher Logo gauge measurements of the Colts football, League officials decided not to add air to any of the Colts footballs. Additional measurements using the same two gauges were made post-game. Post-game, each of the four Patriots footballs measured were well above the required level of 12.5 psi on both gauges (including one that had been overinflated to 13.65 on the Logo gauge). Three of the four Colts footballs measured below 12.5 psi on the non-Logo gauge (a violation of League rules), one measured below 12.5 psi on both gauges (also a violation), and three Colts footballs measured above 12.5 on the Logo gauge.”

OMG: are you fucking kidding me? now we know why they only measured 1 Colts ball, they were afraid more balls would not pass the test . In a legit process, you would measure MORE balls after one failed, not stop measuring balls.

Wells and Goodell actually perpetuated a FRAUD on the league, they sought to entrap the Patriots, further proof of framegate being a shame

I hope at least the ball boys bring a lawsuit again the lying scum that set them up

this just keeps getting better and better, it's fun once you get to fight back

DON"T WORRY HATERS, I'm just scratching the surface. Your narrative, as dumb and shallow as it was to begin with, is falling apart quicker that Peyton Manning in the playoffs last year

The Deflator was just trying to lose weight so he could be healthy and a better role model in his community?

Then a slick, fast talking NY lawyer takes it out of context and attempts to mess with the man's livelihood? Pathetic.

that's the one thing I wish they didn't say

but it's so damn stupid, maybe it's true. I mean the brightest defense attorneys in the world know how stupid that sounds

in the real world, that one expression would not break their case, but maybe in the world of public opinion, you can't let your guard down on any front

it certainly doesn't tip the scale (IMO)

it's just a feather on the wrong side (that would be the left hand side in this image, Goodell's side)

my point is this

with the evidence being on their side, and by such a wide margin, they didn't need to even address that nickname

yet they did

thinking that proves guilt is akin to 9/11 truthers thinking one unanswered question by non-truthers outweighs the 2,000 questions they themselves can't answer

hence the legal scale
