Penn St could have beaten them by 100 if they had wanted to. This team is terrible, and they are dominating USC. Nothing new for Carroll though, they always play down to their competition. A great coach wouldn't let shit like this happen every week. A great coach he is not.
So exactly how good does this make mighty OSU look ? What's their excuse ? The pride of the Tiny 10 goes down by what was that score again ?

No question Carroll is getting outcoached, but Oregon State appears to be a pretty tough team to beat at home. Gotta' give them some props.

Huh? Oregon State is terrible. Penn State had a tougher time with Temple. I don't care where you're playing. No field in the world adds 45+ points. None. USC is getting out hustled and played by a team that is flat out terrible.

Slowly falling? Where have you been? Nobody in football circles has ever thought he could coach. 1 national champ. with all that talent, a loss to Stanford.

2 national champs which are recognized by the NCAA jackass

They were the pride of the Big Ten because the Public made them out to be. I would have argued with you at the beginning of the season that if Darryl Clarke was good this season that PSU was the best team in the Big Ten. Their defense is better and Royster is the second best back in the Big Ten. I would have told you that Wisconsin and OSU were on the same level.

Many picked PSU as the dark horse to compete for the national title.

:nohead:I'm just fucking around and enjoying the banter. But Penn St is the pride of the Little 11 this year.

One thing I'm certain about. Pete Carroll is not a great coach.

It'll be interesting to see how USC comes out in the second half.

NCAA doesn't recognize FBS national championships.

The NCAA does not conduct a championship for the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I FBS - formerly Division I-A). Instead, these teams participate in a national championship system developed by the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) organization.

NCAA does not acknowledge any FBS championships on their website.

Actually, LSU is the only one with 2 crystal BCS-CG balls, Carroll Era USC has one and a plaque from the AP, but I understand your intent.

Think their toughest test of the year may be Saturday though. First good offense they've faced.

If Wisconsin and Penn State are good this year it's a better overall conference than the Pac-10. So won't be the little 10 this year. Wisconsin won at Fresno which was a hell of a performance.

My two biggest bets in CFB were PSU and USF over their win totals and have small amounts on them to win the national title. Really hoping USC goes down.

Well, they may be terrible on the road, but clearly they're a different team at home. They have physical O and D lines, a fast RB and a good receiver. They are not terrible.

Have PSU for the max on their win total and have them for about 2 units to win the title. Great odds on it. Me and my homer self couldn't resist.

Tough to bet that knowing that they play at OSU and at Wisconsin. Just wish one of those games was at home. Two very tough places to win. Hoping Clarke has the leadership skills of Michael Robinson.

They are one of the worst teams in the Pac-10. Their O-Line got destroyed by Penn State and they ran the ball like absolute shit against them.

You can not convince me that they aren't a terrible team. I watched them get flat out embarrassed. In every aspect of the game. It wasn't just a bad game either. They were just playing a superior team

Well, I'll quit trying to convince you now that it appears they're heading for a 2nd half beatdown.
