+1ope:Let's not talk shit about conferences when USC plays in the pac I (this year the Pac 0). USC has obviously had a better 10 years than Penn St., but there is no proof they are better this year. in fact it's quite the opposite. Sorry but game results actually matter, that is why they play the game afterall.
Look at how many QB's Oregon has lost. It is downright ridiculous & almost unheard of. Cal played like they were sleeping the entire game. They were basically playing at 9am their time & when they finally woke up, they almost pulled it out.

As much as I would like to agree with you. I don't believe Oregon had the line play to beat LSU.
Yes, that is why bowl games should be played outside the states of Florida and California.
It is a joke that USC/UCLA get a home game for the Rose Bowl. Why don't they play the Chicago Bowl in January at Solider Field.
Those mfers have probably never even seen snow in So Cal.

Who cares about NFL players ? They have had some competitive teams up their from time to time. Coupled with bad conditions it can make for a bad trip
Funny how you like to respond to my Post and refer to me as an idiot when I have never made any comments or responded to your many Posts. I was having fun with Illini as I have met him at several Bashes and Illini and I have met for breakfast a couple of times when He was living here in Vegas. I just was listening today on the local radio station here in Vegas and they said that USC ATS record in games in which they were favored by 20 or more points was far better than almost all the top teams in the nation including Florida and Ohio State. He said they were 13-10 ATS. Doesn't really sound like you would make much $$ betting against them when they meet a overmatched opponent ! It is always easy to pick on any coach or team after an obvious terrible game. No excuses.. They stunk it up ! However the fact remains that Bozo the clown as you like to refer to him has the best winning percentage of any active coach. Kinda makes one wonder who is the real idiots on this forum.. doesn't it ! The proof is in the pudding ... I put out a $ 1000 challenge to anyone that wants to take mighty Penn State if they should meet USC in the Rose Bowl but so far.... no takers !Are you USC idiots ever going to get it? Are you going to keep arguing against things we're not arguing?
Carroll is not a great coach because he doesn't get his players up against BAD teams. He gets his players ready against good teams, but any coach can do that.
Please read! Carroll lost again when he was more than a 25 point favorite. That's flat out embarrassing. You guys can continue to defend him and he'll continue to lose to lesser foes.
Lets review for you USC fans.
1. Penn State hasn't played anyone and I'm supposed to get back to you when they play someone; yet they beat Oregon State, who beat USC, 45-14 two weeks ago.
2. The Pac-10 is such a tough conference and that's why USC lost, but the Big Ten is awful even though PSU, who is a part of the little 10, beat Oregon State who is in the tough conference. Oregon State then beat the elite USC. So how elite is PSU?
3. Pete Carroll has lost two games in the past two seasons when he was a 25 point favorite or more. Two of maybe the 10 biggest upsets in college football history have happened against Pete Carroll at USC. No one argues that Carroll doesn't know how to win the big game, but everyone with two eyes and a brain can see that he's a shitty motivator when his team is getting ready for a game they should easily win.
4. Pete Carroll is not as good of a big game coach as Joe Paterno, and he doesn't get his players ready for small games like Paterno does. Despite the fact that Paterno has more bowl wins, the best bowl record, and more undefeated seasons than anyone, I think, he's not as good of a coach as Carroll some how.
5. USC is the most talented team in the nation and there is no question about that. Their problem is they don't have a coach that motivates them for games they should win. You would think USC fans would be mad at Carroll instead of defending him, but they seem as lackadaisical about losing games they should easily win as Carroll does going into them.
Hopefully those points will click to some.
I'm an old timer and I was in the Stadium back in 1967 when Oregon State beat USC with OJ Simpson 3-0 and USC went on to win the National Championship that year ! Corvallis and Eugene are not easy places to play at I can assure you as I have spent about 55 years in Oregon !I thought you would get that I was mocking Whor as he constantly brings up stadium sizes or lack thereof along with how many draft picks a team has. According to him playing in Corvallis or Autzen is not a tough place to play.
