First of all, according to my information, Socrates was born in Athens, not Sicily.

Secondly, it is irrefutable how much influence he has had over the centuries.

Third, it is silly to be comparing countries' achievements to each other in a piss fight. It is irrefutable that Greece is an important cradle of many good things. It is also irrefutable as to the achievements of American technology and society since it's founding in 1776.

Bblight,
Show me ONE instance where you've posted facted & cited references? Until then, you're merely ranting.

"you speak/write at the about a ninth grade level: you consistenly misuse the form of the verb be; and consistently write in both fragmented and run-on sentences. furthermore, it would behoove you to use spell check, for you cannot spell, period. and let's not even go into you use of punctuation -- it is embarrassing."

I was a Math Major, what's your excuse?

Unless your wife is a world renowned historian, I really couldn't care less and take her opinion with a grain of salt...and olives.

"facted" ???????????????????????????????????

you are the only person i know of that can turn a noun into a verb?????????????

you could, quite resoundingly, be the most stupid person in this forum. my God man! we're talking BASIC english here my friend!

i wasn't a math major, but i still know pythagorean's theorem -- you REALLY, REALLY need to educate yourself. now, the root of your ill-advised political ideologies are clear. this is impotant stuff my friend; you really should get that corrected -- job interviews, public speeches, just casual conversation -- you need to correct your use of the english language.

Jack: the comment wasn't aimed at you.

However, anyone see 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' with the father who believed the Greeks invented EVERYTHING? Pretty funny bit, that.

First of all its pythagora's theorem, or the pythagorean.

Secondly, 11 year old kids know that as well.

"boycott american products"
a 11 year grecian would have the common sense to realize the we need america, NOT the other way around.

glad to see you come in and be pro-US.

The usual suspects are very anti-American. They hate America. The general and lib-lander are the two worst. They both should be shot for acting like this in a time of war.

Take the leftest socialist europeans with a grain of salt.

i was figuring i'd get this reply.

this is the kind of attitude we have (and should have) with people that flippantly threaten us.

All -
my wife is originally from Tunis, but her parents and heritage are mostly Sicilian, so I listen when she talks (I'd better if I want to eat!) - what do I know! Also, she has that Arabic sense of humor which is dry to say the least - and I sometimes don't get it. As far as Socrates being born in Sicily - what an idiot you are to even bother answering me - don't you get a jibe when you see one?

The problem with many of the extreme anti-war zealots is that they believe their own lies - and think that all of the other lines are lies and must be disproven - no matter how foolish they look in supporting their position.

You guys are more fun than a room full of leftist sociology professors.

P.S. - Jaques - Pythagoras was a Calabrian!
