Bonds Big Season explained …

2001 saw Barry Bonds break the single season home run record by three ( whoopdee doo ! ) and now ironically the amazing numbers Bonds has put up over his Hall of Fame career are the very fabric of the thread being used to hang him now. Most people conclude the only way Bonds could have hit 73 home runs that year would be that he was doing steroids. Thus helping his power and boosting his strength enroute to his biggest season ever in the homerun department. ( his other best years are 49 , 46 twice , 45 twice.) never even 50 in other years, yet one year 73??. Well the naysayers yelled NAY, and most of them now, considering Bonds has NEVER tested positive for steroids, are using this enigma as their sole proof that Bonds stuck a needle in his ass and cheated. I say Bullshit. As evidence by this year( and with all the heat NOBODY can say Bonds is juicing now—He’s only leading the NL in homers while batting .338 with a .500 OB % and .775 SLG % ) Yes the heat is on Barry and Barry is turning UP the heat. Those are amazing stats one would say … For Barry, their average, because Barry is Amazing. He’s the epitemy of the word and the very best we’ve all seen, and perhaps all time( my apologies to any 90 year old posters here who may have caught a glimpse of Ruth or Gehrig ) Anyhow back to my point, Yes Barry had an amazing year, but now we’re to look at some other “amazing” years by some other super stars and you will see a Big season above all the rest isn’t always the irregularity but sometimes the norm.
