I was kinda saying the Tampa stuff as a joke, though I do think it could be a better situation than Buffalo
I am of the mindset that Bill and Brady were a great match together, and that there were other elements within the organization that helped propel them outside of just them too
I do not think Bill and Josh Allen would be a good match. It's a different situation within the organization as well. Buffalo today is not run nearly as well as New England was during their two-decade dynasty . Nowhere near it
Allen is going to be a huge cap hit next year, the team is not well-functioned as is and is going to be more restricted next year.
Bill would not walk into that situation
If rumors are true that Kraft and Belichick are indeed parting ways (a lot of smoke on this one), there will be no shortage of suitors lined up for him.
He's a winner. Period. Offense, defense, special teams, kicking game... Belichick's dynasty Pats always exceled when it mattered most at every position, not just QB.
The Bills short-term cap crunch can be summed up with two names: Von Miller (disaster signing) and Stefon Diggs for another year. Allen's next-gen QB contract is what it is, still millions less than Mahomes, JoeyB, Hurts etc.
As for all the dysfunctional antics surrounding this team, all of that lies at the feet of the coach who lost control years ago. The neverending player drama on social media; the Damar Hamlin BS; players so chummy with some assistant coaches they bought them extravagant gifts like trucks; their HC using the 9/11 hijackers as an example of "team work" and "determination" in a rah-rah locker room speech.
Gong Show.
One doesn't even need to analyze the comedy of errors on the field from all the 4th quarter meltdowns to see why this team never breaks through They will ill prepared for the Bengals last year in the playoffs, despite every advantage on paper, so kudos to you for exploiting that.
And yet...they were 13-3 a year ago and often look dominating with Josh Allen. He's that good.
All of those distracting antics stop cold when Bill Belichick walks into the room. Those who refuse to buy in will be shipped out. As you say, the Pats were first class on and off the field for two decades.
Money isn't a issue, Pegula's pockets are deep. Simply hand the GOAT a checkbook and ask him to fill in the numbers. Done deal.
