Steve, Brian Belichick have chance to stay with Patriots.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots assistant coaches Steve Belichick and Brian Belichick, the sons of former head coach Bill Belichick, have been given the opportunity to remain with the team, sources confirmed to ESPN.
SI.com first reported the news about the Belichicks, whose future landing spots could also be tied to whether their father lands another head-coaching job in 2024.
Steve Belichick spent the past 12 seasons on the Patriots' staff, elevating from an entry-level coaching assistant to linebackers coach and defensive playcaller. Brian Belichick began his career with the franchise in 2016 as a scouting assistant before working his way up from entry-level coaching assistant (2017-19) to safeties coach (2020-23).
New Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo has developed a close relationship with Steve Belichick, as players often noted how much time they spend together. The two first formed a bond when Mayo was playing for the team and sidelined on injured reserve.
"I spent a lot of time with Steve in the dungeon, and we would go in there and break down film and talk ball," Mayo said in mid-December. "Hearing it from him, from a coach's perspective -- one of the greatest head coaches' sons; and then I brought the on-the-field perspective.
"Even back then, 2013, 2014, we just had a connection. We kind of spoke the same language. With that being said, when we game-planned [as coaches] and talked to the players and things like that, it was very natural. I love coaching with Steve."
Mayo is scheduled to be formally introduced as the 15th head coach in Patriots history Wednesday at noon ET, alongside owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft.

What a mess.

No Brady. No Belichick. My Patriot love is deteriorating and I've been a hard core fan for a thousand years.

This is true
There is no question BB wanted Brady gone and JG installed

Turned down 2 1st round draft picks the year before for JG

And then the very next year basically gave him away to his buddy for 1 2nd round pick
Even more of a reason to fire Belichick. That entire soap opera was ridiculous and Bill was clearly wrong.

“Bill had told me he couldn’t play anymore,” Kraft said after Brady won the title, per ESPN, “and then he goes out and wins the fucking Super Bowl.”

This is actually a very funny quote but does need a bit of context.

Yes, Tom Brady won a SuperBowl on a stacked team after he left the Pats, which infuriated Kraft, but Tom was done immediately after that.

Belichick was off by a year. He wasn't wrong.
He was dead wrong lol. Couldn’t have been any more wrong. Brady won another Super Bowl After they trade Jimmy G.

Jimmy G was the one who road a stacked team to a Super Bowl but couldn’t finish the job.

average at best.

Actually, Brady won 2 more super bowls. One with NE and one with TB.

Uncle Joe is what we call a partisan. He will make whatever narrative fit his agenda.

You couldn't be more correct. Brady also retired on his terms. His last year he was still an elite qb.

Annnddd that is how u get fired off super bowl appearance and a 10-1 start the following season.

There is simply not away you can bring back a coach of which a team gave up on him the final 2 months of the season.

Eagles now in the conversation

Bills could be if they lose to KC
Beating KC may not quite be enough for McDermott.

Maybe... Who knows.

Bills have won their division and been knocking at the door for several years now. It's a performance-based business, at some point they have to get over the hump.

There are no shortage of suitors.

Name a team who wouldn't fire their coach if Belichick came knocking?

There aren't many.

Belichick should just retire. He has a 3 year window and will absolutely not win nor make a super bowl with any of these teams in the market for a head coach.

All he will further prove is he couldn't win with out Brady. Coaches can age out just like players and he has aged out.
