I'm also new here, and new to sports betting, though I have played a lot of poker and done a lot of casinos. I have had a bad experience with BOS over the past couple of weeks. I never felt that they were trying to rip me off or anything, but my experience there wasn't very good and I probably won't go back.
The reason I made an account at BOS was that they had a line I liked. I made my account, put $300 in, bet on some games, and ended up with $390. I never got a bonus added automatically or anything, and I didn't see anything else I wanted to play, so I went to withdraw the $390.
There was a problem with the payout form, I guess because I live outside of the US. It kept telling me that I hadn't filled out all the fields. I contacted live support, and after about 20 minutes (is it just me or does live support respond really slowly at this site) I was able to convince them that I was filling out the form correctly and get them to process the payout. The money came a day later to neteller with no problems.
A few days later I looked at their site and saw a world cup promotion that looked nice. I contacted live support and asked them about getting the promotion. After checking my account they said that since I had withdrawn the $390 that I wouldn't be eligible, but if I wanted to put the $390 back in and the $500 for the promotion, I could get it.
I made the deposit and contacted live support. They explained a rather confusing set of bonus options and I ended up with a 50% matchplay with a 7x rollover. The support person explained that the wagering requirement would be $500 + $250 * 7 = $5250, and that the other $390 didn't count.
After I did this, I found my MLB lines were much tighter than they had been the first time I deposited. I saw the forum threads about dual lines and figured that was what had happened to me. The really nice MLB underdog prices were now gone and pinnacle was usually beating both sides of the line I was getting.
I had to call in the match play bet, which was okay I guess, although I had to call at like 1 am here to get down on the basketball game I wanted to bet. The bet won, and I got like $225 in my account.
I bet for a week or so, and contacted live support to find out that I had wagered about half of the requirement for the bonus. Another week later, by my records I had wagered the whole $5200, and I had been quite lucky--my $890 was now like $2200. I was happy about that and anxious to withdraw when possible, because $2200 is a fair amount of money for me.
I contacted live support to clear the bonus and was told that the wagering requirement was $890 * $250 * 7 = 7980. I protested over support
for a few minutes, and they found a note somewhere in my account that said I was right and that I had wagered the $5200. So I go to withdraw. As before, the payout form doesn't work. I contact support about the form. The support person refers me to someone in payout who processes the payout. The payout person tells me that I haven't met the wagering requirement of 7980. I tell him about my previous conversations. He finds the note somewhere in my account and processes the payout. This was a lot more frustrating at the time than I am making it sound here. Anyway, the payout eventually gets done and the money hits neteller a day or so later.
I don't think that BOS was dishonest with me or anything, it's just that I wasn't happy that the lines changed, and I wasn't happy that I had to contact support about 10 times through the thing to do various stuff. Overall, I found the site to be clunky, difficult to use, and I found the lines to be pretty poor value. However, the bonus was good and I understand how the $890-vs-$500 deposit thing was confusing to support. I just wish I had only had to have the argument once instead of several times. By the time I was waiting for my payout, I had read various negative threads about BOS here and if I hadn't already received the successful payout from them the first time, I would've been nervous about my money.
Anyway, they came across as a rather disorganised place, and I felt that some of their lines were so bad as to suggest that they simply didn't want to play with anyone who was looking at prices. I mostly felt my money was safe there, but I don't think I'll be redepositing anytime soon, as I didn't really enjoy the experience and there are other places to play that have offered me better lines and much less hassle.
