JD for excavators and backhoes....:pointer: Sounds like a real mickey mouse operation being run with leased junk equipment.

I bought a Homda mower 8 years ago. Put a spark plug once a year and gas in and runs like a champ.

Terex seems to be junk.

We have 2-410 extendahoe backhoes which are very good (one is about 20-25 years old), a mini 50 which has been solid and a brand new 210 excavator which so far seems good. We also have a 350 and a 250 end dump (Yukes). All Deere equipment.

We have a Komatsu 200, just got rid of a 160. Cat 950 loader, Cat 314 and Cat 307 excavators.

Haven't had problems with any but the junk Terex equipment that were under constant repair.

But I'm sure you know a lot more about that stuff than everybody else too.

I don't operate it....Just buy or lease it, pay for repairs and know what my guys prefer to use. JD has NEVER been mentioned.

Why are we arguing heavy equipment anyway????????

I think this guy is looking for something to mow the grass:ohno: Would go with anything but a JD. Cub Cadet or Husqvarna would be my choice

How long have you owned a construction company?

Your guys like Terex?.........I have never, ever heard one operator ever utter those words. I know a few guys from some very large construction companies and there is a reason these companies don't have that crap.

Terex?....really?

Never said they like it or we own one......but we do own 1 piece....just said its better than JD overall along with the others i've listed. They've been in business almost 100 years and the 3rd largest producer of heavy equipment... so it can't be that bad. Would add Komatsu to the list as well.

Hard to say....somewhere between 75-125 between pieces bought and leased. Changes almost weekly. Just bought a Terex/Genie boom lift and scissor lift within the past month.

Did you read mine?

Zero experience? Now, thats funny. I own and operate the largest landscaping and pond building businesses in Indiana, Illinois and North Carolina with smaller offices in other states and countries. Might wanna check yoself

If you buy the same model at lowe's, the dealer, pawn shop or Mars....it's the SAME fucking equipment. Some dealers don't sell the lower end models of the low end tractors and such, but if they do......it's the same shit.

And on another note...anyone who uses JD for heavy equipment is a real fool.

Pretty neat. I was researching this exact issue just last week. Was hoping that enlarging an existing pond was pretty easy and just generally researching the issue quickly figured out there was way more to it than I thought.

Wow, I would have never guessed we would make it to page 2.....

I am looking at a zero turn with a 62" deck. z465 I believe. To mow 5 acres in Florida so it is all flat.

Sales guy told me the price is the price and there is no negotiating at John Deere dealerships. I don't believe that bullshit.

If not John Deere, then who? Zero turn with big deck is a must. I do not like mowing and want that shit done quick!
