Just traded Mixon and Peterson for bell.
damn this league is easy .
wish it had higher then a 100 buy in

Lol wow

Peterson is useless and Mixon out at least a month.

Lmao.

Nobody veto?

I'm so glad I'm in a league with no trades. 2 years ago was in a different league and guy traded david Johnson for the seahawks rb christine michael mid season (after DJ was already dominating). I talked about it on here.

I ended up losing to that guy in the championship game

Drives me nuts the bears don't use Cohen as the third down back. I have this guy in both leagues and hes looking like waiver fodder in a few weeks

Thought he would break out this year. Loads of talent and perfectly fits the build of today's pass catching 3rd down rbs. And howard sucks at catching and pass protection.

That's the type of deal you can't veto. The guys not even on a NFL team right now. But it's a bad deal. AP is a bye week streamer guy and Bell is more likely to end his holdout before Mixon recovers from injury. And Bell is way better than Mixon. It's a pretty bad deal for that guy. And you can say "Well, it's just 100 bucks" but these deals happen all the time in leagues with trades.

Why trades suck, some vulture like Chop is gonna find the fish and swarm like a shark and eat him....Only league I'm in is no trades and you get 1 waiver all year, I couldn't just take 3pts every week. Unfortunately I had Greg Olsen and my other TE's suck because I did a bad job drafting late (took Brate over Hooper most notably) so I had to spend that claim on Jonnu Smith.

It is a 30 roster league so don't think spewing on TE early was that bad.

Just did my NFFC ppr draft. Picked 7th. Was certain I would be building my team around either Barkley or Kamara. And all my prep was based on that strategy. So it threw me for a loop when Antonio brown fell to me at 7. Had to adjust on the fly. Projected lineup as follows

QB: Cam Newton
RB: Lesean Mccoy
RB: Tarik Cohen
WR: Antonio Brown
WR: AJ Green
WR: Jamison Crowder
Flex: Pierre Garcon
TE: Zach Ertz
K: Stephen Gostkowski
D: Saints D

Bench
- Mahomes
- Devante Parker
- Nick Chubb
- Isaiah Crowell
- Theo Riddick
- Quincy Enunwa
- Eric Ebron
- Terrelle Pryor
- Jaron Brown

Biggest surprises early on were Brown falling to 7 and Mccaffery going 8th overall. I was one spot away from stealing Keenan Allen in round 2 (settled for AJ Green). Mccoy comes with risk but after going WR WR he was a no brainer as the only bell cow left in mid 3rd round. I expect plenty of receptions from him this year. Toughest decision was in round 4 after I missed Lamar miller by one spot. Deciding between Ertz, Collins RB, or Allen Robinson. Ultimately went with the set it and forget it TE. I'm terrible at TE every year and will be nice to have it as a strength this season.

Nice comeback in week 2 for this team. Finished 2nd after placing 11th last week. Monster performances by Green and Mahommes. Key decision was benching Cam. Now I'm sitting 6th, 18 points out of a playoff spot. But major questions at running back.

Draft #2 Was the Rotowire online championship. I picked 10th Projected Lineup....

QB: Andrew Luck
RB: Lamar Miller
RB: Dion Lewis
WR: Odell Beckham Jr
WR: Keenan Allen
WR: Amari Cooper
TE : Evan Engram
FLEX: Chris Thompson
K: Justin Tucker
DST: Saints

Bench

Patrick Mahommes
Tarik Cohen
Darren Sproles
Terrell Pryor
Albert Wilson
Quincy Enunwa
Kelvin Benjamin
Rishard Matthews
Mohammed Sanu
Tyler Kroft

Interestingly enough, Bell still went in the first round at 11 overall. Julio went 8th after last nights performance and being able to use those points this week. Toughest decision for me was in round two. Deciding between Keenan Allen, Michael Thomas, or Christian Mccaffery. Pulled the trigger on Allen. Like him more than thomas from a PPR standpoint. And while i like mccaffery, he still has to contend with Cam vulturing rushing tds, greg olsen, funchess, moore, a bad offensive line, and cj anderson. Allen seemed like the smartest choice

My ratings looked like this...

Bottom line:
  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 61 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Very nice start for this team, sitting 2-0 and in 3rd place. Like my lineup a lot better in this one. Really no major holes. Since this is the rotowire championship only top 2 make playoffs. Currently 17 points out.

Funny i have Mahomes this season and i remember having his dad on my fantasy baseball team 15-20 years ago.

I wonder if the Mahomes are the first father/son combination to be on my fantasy teams?

I am running into some nasty matchups this week.

Playing against Dalvin Cook vs the Bills. Gamescript = a monster performance by him

Playing against Gronk coming off a two catch game and going against the lions.....feels like a 150 yard two td game from him this week

And I have Keenan Allen going against the Rams who are shutting down #1 WR's

Making a Min waiver bid on the packers d in preparation to use them in week 4 against the Bills

I suggest everybody use this strategy on defenses. Plan one week ahead and you can stream for your minimum bid. You're rostering two defenses normally but if you're deep like my league with 20 roster spots it doesn't matter. Seems simple but nobody else does it so you get them for cheap. If I tried to get packers D next week it would cost me 50 blind bidding points as opposed to one. When in a competitive league where the margin of error is so small, a DST scoring 12 instead of 4 can make all the difference.

And dont look now, but terrell Pryor starting to heat up. Drafted him late on pats advice. 80 yards on 8 targets last week. Not start worthy yet but becoming an interesting stash

Early in the week but Cook got a hamstring injury so good chance he'll be limited. Bad beat for those who have him since the Vikes are 38 point favorites.

RB's dying left and right. Ajayi probably out too.

I have Ajayi but I got Gio too so probably just go him this week either way.

Gotta admit this is a good idea.

I have another tip.

If you have a stud running back or stud WR that plays on Sunday Night or Monday Night always play them in the flex position and not at RB or WR.
That way if there is some kind of crazy injury that gets reported 30 mins before the game you have a much larger pool of players you can pick from for a desperation fill in.
Lets say you have Gurley and he plays monday night and you have him at RB.
You are forced to replace him with a RB.
If you had him at flex this gives you a lot more monday night desperation options.

I always play my monday and sunday night studs in the flex position

Cook said it was just a cramp.

I wouldn't get too excited having any fantasy players against whe bills. Pretty low ceiling there. See keenan allen last week. By the third quarter the game is such a blowout that the leading team goes into a shell. Even with rbs, it's not like the Vikings are going to run dalvin cook into the ground when they are up 40-0

I'm to the point where I have graduated past all the "expert" articles on espn, Yahoo, cbs sports. They are filled with completely wrong and horrible information/advice.

Bingo, if you’re just realizing that you’re well behind the curve.

Depends who you ask I suppose. Someone told me today that the proliferation (my terminology) of information has made the fantasy football marketplace more efficient and it is harder for them to win now.

Guess they aren’t considering the fact that a good bit of that info is worthless.

I’ve found my win percentage has increased over the years, but I suspect that’s mainly due to more fish joining the pond. I was a significant gambler and have drawn back at a serious level because winning at DFS, in my experience, is significantly easier than beating the books. I’m able to win more and spend less time in preparation, I’m all for that.

Ya exactly, not everyone understands this concept. Because they don't understand the game theory around the two disciplines. That's why sports betting is an incredible business to have, the fish get to put in no work and win 50% of the time and think they're smart. What more could you ask for?

But obviously when it comes to sports, everyone gotta pretend they know everything.
