Really? Perhaps you could cut and paste some of those? On the contrary, I recall seeing several posters saying it's not about the money, even offerring to pay for their own rooms.
But now that you mention it, the one thing the RX does owe us is the truth! Something is not right here....it makes no sense that there would be rooms during the busy football season and not be rooms during the slow August season?
Now come on, you guys should know us well enough to know that we are going to do whatever we can to put together a plan that makes everybody (almost) happy. These parties are for the community, so let’s come up with a plan together.
Here is what I know for sure – we can’t have a full bash in August. As hard as we tried, we just could not make it happen.
So aside from that, I'm pretty open to any suggestions. We have a budget for the bash, and I really don’t mind splitting it up. It might be hard to have any kind of poker tourney at the August get together (although we have a few ideas), but we can definitely put together some rooms, a great dinner and a night out. It is Vegas – there is always something to do. We could even do the Joey-Skins-Dsethi big night out – blackjack with the Blues Brothers, Outback steak and Sheri’s Cabaret. Well maybe not, but you get the idea.
Xpanda is heading this up, so she will probably start some threads so we can get an idea of the who-what-when. Let the brainstorming begin!

FYI - any Rx Bash 2007 parlay thread contest winners can collect at either function. I will have all 7 winners in the books by the August Bash.
I am working on a Live College Football Handicapping Contest for The September Bash atteendees that will net the winner a nice funded account at one of the Rx. sponser books. Look for the details within the the next few weeks on that contest. I am also going to put together a special something for you August guys. I am working with sponsers for both contests. When I have full details like prize amounts and contest rules I will post them in their own threads.

Planning a party like this requires a lot of things to come together at once. Unfortunately for us, this just didn't happen for the August date. It was a long series of one thing falling through after another until we were down to a bare-bones event. When it became apparent that weekend just wasn't going to work, we looked at the poll conducted earlier this year and saw tremendous interest in a September date.
I can assure you that this is not due to financial constraints as moving the date is costing us more - not less - overall.
I realise this is frustrating, but please know the date was not moved for any reason other than simple feasibility. We would never have done this if we didn't think we absolutely had to.
RX doesn't owe us anything. I guess it depends on how you look at it. The Posters are the ones funding these shops and in turn these shops send advertising money to the RX. The RX was receiving thousands of advertising dollars from BOS, Millenium, V Wager, etc.and in turn alot of us Posters lost several thousand dollars thru these sites. The RX made alot of money off of these Shops while some of us lost alot. The RX wouldn't even be here without us Posters. I guess the NBA players don't owe the fans anything either with that anology.
