My question is----why send more funds to a guy that already owed you 30k for 2 years?

Other question---- why not be upfront that you paid contest winners and allowing BAS time to recover and re-pay you? You allowed him to return; he made it as if he paid off all contest winners and anyone that ever questioned him was an "idiot."

I never implied you were a stiff.

I think what defying was trying to do was try to protect BAs reputation .

Why he would take such a risk for someone he probably never met who knows.
But if defying would have had to announce that he was the one paying the contest winners it would have kinda of defeated the purpose

BAs would have still looked bad in that spot .

This is purely my speculation. But I think the whole "i care so deeply for this site and that is the reason I did so and so.." is more than a little disingenuous.

There is definitely more too this....But I never said Defying is a stiff. Not sure how that would even be possible with the information we have...

Or simply make an online bank transfer. At 2 years those excuses had to be damn near unbelievable.

So sending him even more money makes no common sense with the information given.

Why would an upper middle class man in his 60s that smoked heavily not have insurance?

A stroke is sad but at his age along with how he took care of himself---it was exactly out of left field. Nor dipping into funds that weren't his excusable.

I just don't see the logic. Didn't the guy have multiple homes? Bragged about extravagant vacations. Yet had so little health insurance that something like a stroke or a cancer diagnosis would completely bankrupt him. Each of those is tragic but as we advance in age not as if it's unforeseen as a possibility.

Just not buying it. But could be wrong.
