I realize that RPM. We had our own injuries (including our #1 running back). It's the Ravens defense that gets to everyone and they had the entire nucleus of that defense there for that game.

They don't beat Washington without 2 defensive touchdowns. The Redskins! The Ravens are a good football team. They aren't in the upper echelon yet until Boller steps up and becomes a better leader in the offensive huddle (IMO).

wil,

i agree if the ravens get blown out in n.e. they probably arent as good as i think they are. but if they lose a close game, i think there is no shame in that.

sportbet,

the ravens have been winning like that for 4 years now. ravens have made it to the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 years without an offense.

but here is a fun fact for you, while the ravens once again have one of the best defenses in football, the offense is quietly gaining momentum. currently they are averaging 19 points per game.

Its hard to blow a team out that gives up no more than 17 points ...

New England is by far the toughest matchup because they can play just as good on the defensive side...

Sportsbet,
Come on. You think your defense is improved because of last night? You gave up 21 points to the same team that managed 3 the week before against the Bengals. You've played 3 competitive teams this year. Cleveland (OT win), Pittsburgh and a beat up Raven's team. The Cowboy, Redskin and Giant wins will not benefit them(except for home field) in the playoffs. There are probably 8 teams in the AFC better than the 2nd best team in the NFC. Who else missed the Ravens game for the Eagles besides Westbrook? Like I said then, add 4 pro bowlers and play that on a neutral field and the Ravens win that game easy. Keep counting the Ravens out everyone. As for the Steelers, Cowher is not a better coach than Billick. Win a ring first Bill. If he's such a good coach, what happened last year when they were picked to win the division? As the shirt in my closet says, Steelers suck and Cowher swallows. 30-13 Steeler fans. You've played all of your tough games at home except for the Ravens. NE is still the class of the league. It will all depend on matchups in the AFC playoffs this year. The Ravens won it all in 2000 as a wildcard. Why not this year?

Journey the shocking part wouldnt be me paying... you really dont know me. The shocking part would be Baltimore even sniffing the AFC championship game.

And I'm a little tired of you assaulting my integrity. I doubt I'd have credit at Jazz and Cris if I was a stiff.

noreaga

i dont think jman is trying to insult you at all. its just that time after time people do stuff like this and then never pay up.

fwiw, you are just as likely to get stiffed.

it would be hilarious if he stiffed me for 20 dollars after his accusations against me.. I would prefer that to happen than him actually paying.

Frickin Heap has KILLED my fantasy league team. I had Stephen Davis too. Two goddamn pansies I tell you, both had just normal injuries you hear many players get every year and they both are out forever. How can you be a TE and not be able to play on a sprained ankle? I have a feeling he has something worse and the training staff isn't figuring it out or aren't letting out what he really is dealing with. So I wouldn't put too much behind his return making a huge difference. Sorry but this Ravens team is nowhere near as good or experienced in key spots as the champs. Having a steady veteran QB is a huge upgrade over a guy that still hasn't gained his confidence, backed up by the biggest stiff around. The lack of experienced QB means they will have a hard time winning at least two road games to get to the show.

The Ravens upgraded Wright to backup...Kordell is now 3rd string...Kordell may have saved the Jets game with his very effective punts....Make no mistake the Ravens have lucked their way to 6-3, but I really believe they will rapidly improve over the 2nd half...

I see Baltimore finishing 10-6 losing all their remaining away games.

I have San Diego finishing 11-5, and Jax and Jets finishing 10-6 obviously Baltimore would beat NYJ in the tie breaker of head to head to head.. conference record would be the determinign factor between Jax and Balt... Balt should finish 7-5 in the conference.. while Jax should finish 8-4... Balt has the huge disadvantage of all their remaining road losses being to conference foes.. New England, Pitt, and Indy. While Jax has 2 road games out of conference @minny and @GB

I dont even think its better than a 50-50 prop that Balt even gets in the playoffs

all 4 teams sit at 6-3 with baltimore having the toughest remaining schedule.

baltimore does have the toughest remaining schedule, but they are the best of those teams. ravens will win at LEAST one of the three remaining road games, and should easily be able to take the last 4 home games against dallas, miami, cinci, and the giants.

that being the case, i see them winning at least 11.

there really is no reason baltimore cant beat pitt and indi. especially with everyone back on the field.

the n.e. game could go either way, but a lot will depend on who is still out on both teams.
