Rob you didn't know the Snickers Bar was named after Carl Snickers?

Carl Snickers was a legend in the 1920's , southpaw , craft lefty , the whole nine yards, lol.

noreaga, you just made a easy $20. i dont even look for balt to make play-offs. if jets use clock right, they had a good chance to win game. balt has too many tough games they have to play away. if they had these tough teams home, different story.

CONSIDERING BALTIMORE IS A 17-1 SHOT TO WIN THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, getting 50-1 on them making it to the superbowl is a VERY good value.

journeyman,

you make some VERY good points about the ravens. people are underestimating what the ravens have done with so MANY key players lost.

when peter boulware returns, the ravens defense will improve DRAMATICALLY!!!.

who will teams double up on? boulware or suggs??? they wont be able to double up on both of them...

as far as the offense goes, there has been no bigger loss than ogden. no raven rb has ran for over 82 yards in a game ogden has missed since the year 2000.

another loss that was hard on baltimore was all the games travis tailor missed. he may not be much, but in the ravens scheme he is an important cog. he has also benefited from the emergence of clarence moore.

IF the ravens are able to get healthy before the playoffs, and get a game or two under their belts with all their weapons in place, NO TEAM in the afc will want to see baltimore in the playoffs.... especially pittsburgh.

i assume you are basing that comment on the 30-13 ASS WHOOPIN the ravens put on pitt earlier this year???

pitt is playing good ball, getting lots of rolls, and riding a fairly easy schedule. as confident as they are, im sure there are lots of other teams pitt wants to play besides baltimore.

Sorry RPM, No disrespect intended....I think stat wise if you take out highs and lows on both sides Steelers have the road Mo and Ravens are only winning by to's and field goals; (this is what they call a run on sentence in college) I feel Steeltown has better coaches and offense, BOL with all you do, G

FWIW - 50-1 for the Ravens to make it to the Super Bowl is very generous. From Olympic:

11/21/2004 12:00 PM Odds to win the 2005 AFC Championship Wager is on which team will win the AFC Championship.

221 New England Patriots +175
222 Indianapolis Colts +525
223 New York Jets +2000
224 Denver Broncos +750
225 Baltimore Ravens +1400
226 Pittsburgh Steelers +215

14-1 from the Greek - 50-1 from Noreaga.

Wil its better than the books odds, sure.. but there is NO WAY Baltimore is going to the Superbowl.. To do so they are 1st going to have to hang on to the wild card spot and then win ATLEAST 2 road games in the playoffs, possibly 3.

Noreaga - personally I agree, just thought I would post some actual odds. I watched the Ravens - Jets game last Sunday and cannot see the Ravens going anywhere. Most likely they will not get a bye in the Wild Card round so will have to win 3 games including 2 on the road to win AFC. They will have to beat a team like Jacksonville in Baltimore, then on the road agiainst either the Colts or the Pats and finally at Pittsburg for the AFC title. No way they can win 3 straight against that competition.

btw. from Pinnacle:
