i need to grow some fucking balls man!!!! seriously.....mid point of the tourney, down to about 800 players (field of 9,000), i pick up A/J in middle position and raise 3x. at this point i have around 26k in chips, which is average. SB pushes all in, making it only about 3k more to go. early limper calls, he has about 9k in chips left. as soon as he called the SB's all in, i thought "i need to go ahead and put this motherfucker all in", as he had been playing just about every hand. instead, i just called, and when the flop came rags he shoved. i folded. and saw this guy turn up A/5.
fuck it. i'm playing well in the early stages, am consistently racking up chips, but i need some serious improvement in the middle to late stages. i know i keep whining about it, but goddamn. i'm playing like a scared bitch. in the early stages i'm in there making moves, doing a pretty decent job of knowing when to stay away and when to steal. i think a large part is, in the early stages, if i bust out, fuck it, it's just a couple bucks, but after a couple hours it's like, "i'll be damned if i wasted all this time to bust out now".....

play the $1-$10 dollar ones that are multi table sngs....like 18 man, 45 man ,90 man, etc. these things can be beat by a guy playing them 1 at a time because so many players are multitabling them. You raise them frequently and fold to them often. I can try posting the HH of the 1 i won Sunday in the replayer but lately they dont work.. and i might have played like shit and just got lucky..lol i really dont remember but i think i did a lot of restealing in it..
It just takes a pretty nice bankroll to play the 1000 player MTTs cus the big scores or so infrequent..

i'm playing both daily dollars at FT.....busted out early today, very first hand i flopped the nut flush from the BB with 3 limpers, slow played it, board paired kings on the turn, then paired 8s on the river, ole boy moved all in so i had to lay it down. took a minimum hit, but it seemed to put me on tilt.
making a pretty decent amount playing rush poker at the $5 table....counting the $10 of bonus money they released this morning, i'm up $30 today alone, buying in for 3 bucks a pop (about 4 hours of playing time).....just stay out of big pots with marginal hands, when you see 400+ hands an hour, there's going to be a better spot to get your chips in....seems to favor the tight player

ill be playing all night. moved up stakes yesterday since my bankroll got bigger and got killed last night and so far today i suck. if i dont get it goin in next 4-5 tournies ill have to drop stakes back down

hey PPP, you tried rush poker yet? i'm loving it so far.....could just be the variance on my side, but i'm killing it just playing mechanical poker....and i have a feeling that i'm folding the best hand a high percentage of the time....had pocket aces on the button 2 hands in a row, and both times the blind thought i was bluffing and shoved all in
$47 gain on the day playing at the $5 table ($37 not counting my bonus)....and i have about 3 more hours left in the tank....

It seems like I bust out the same way in every tournament. Just now got all my money in preflop with QQ against AQ. The dude hits a runner runner straight. If I win the hand I'm 23rd with 63 places paying. Instead, I'm gone. Funny how this never happens to me in a live game. I'm an online poker noob. I'm fine with players outplaying me and or having a better pp than me when we shove. It's just so frustrating when I always get my money in ahead and don't come out on top anywhere near the correct percentages.
i feel your pain, but sometimes i get lucky too.....up and down like mad today, pretty much ended up breaking even. don't know if people were getting drunk tonight or what, but a miserable day turned into a bearable one over the last hour or so. all in bluffs don't work against a guy with the nut flush and playing his last hand of the day
the majority of my losses today came when i either: 1) wouldn't stop firing at a pot or 2) i called big bets with marginal hands. eliminate those two things, and it would have been a solid day, although variance does come into play. some of the moves that didn't work earlier today worked out tonight.
