missed Crosby for the points/per game

Sid- 1.09 (tied for 4th)

cant be screwing this Hall of Famer over ......... hoisted Lord Stanley 3 times, 2 Conn Smythes .........(y)
Love Crosby but it should only be one Conn Smythe IMO. Kessel led the playoffs in goals and plus/minus in their back-to-back run. He had more goals, points and a better plus/minus than Crosby in their first cup. Crosby actually had the worst plus/minus of any Conn Smythe winner in history that year.

good argument for Phil with those numbers. he was so instrumental in those two Pen Cup wins. Steal of a trade, ha. Add insult to injury they got Kapanen back .

Sid, Malkin, Kessel on a pp? Kessel provided scoring punch, dynamics on a 3rd line. Hagelin-Bonino-Kessel had a great palyoff run.

Sid is a rare bird indeed. Provides intangibles, leadership. Look at the players he's played with over the yrs? the guy just makes those around him better (that's not Connor at this point of his career) . Dupuis, Kunitz , Rodriques, Guentzel,Sheary, Hornqvist...etc...cmon..lol

he'd have the 'C' on the Team Canada all-time team if i was GM ......which likely would get me in big trouble, lol

Fuck Yeah!!! That was a brilliant move by Matthews when he left the zone and came back and beat Saigun and the D

Matthews is on another level every game. I won't be surprised if he nets 60+

Joe ,those r the NHL rules go cry to Bettman

Are u a miserable dude 24/7?
I have. He won't listen.

Modern NHL (OT/shootouts) is a crapshoot and all-star game like entertainment for the kids. Wagering money on that garbage is folly.

Playoffs (hitting; clogging up the neutral zone and shooting lanes fighting for every inch of ice; refs putting away their whistles; stellar goaltending) is intense real hockey.

See also: why your Leafs end up hitting the links in April year after year.

Your hopelessly naive woke GM wants to "revolutionize the game" so of course they will lose. And you think I'm the moron? LOL

Of course I want him to lose - his vision is bad for hockey.

You angry bro ? Lol . I already said I don't think the leafs have the pieces. Why you want to go there yet again ? Hit a nerve?

The NHL is alive and well . You cant change anything . Don't watch if you don't like the product .

You a lonely guy ? No wife ? Bro ,you come across as miserably, angry 24/7

Not as bad as having Zamuner on the team! Remember that disaster? That being said I don't think Crosby makes my all-time team as a centre. Clarke is my #3, best two-way forward ever! I remember reading that the Flyers outscored their opponents 5-1 for two entire seasons when Clarke was on the ice!!! I'm a stats/facts guys but I don't have this reference on hand. You'll have to trust me on that. Number 4 centre would be a battle between McDavid, Crosby and Trottier. International ice, McDavid hands down. North American ice Crosby would make my team for now. If you want all offense then hell yeah he's on the all-time team.

i'm a numbers guy too, not to your extent tho. You know what they say about statistics; there are 3 kinds of lies ; lies, damn lies and statistics lol . Agreed, great stat on Clarke . Heart and soul of The Broad Street Bullies. That guy was insulin-dependent diabetic, u thikn he was a fighter? LOL!!!!

I'm going with this . For me , Sid is a must at centre.

I want Mario at RW. I want the best playmaker ever alongside the best finisher ever. Worked well in The Canada Cup. Put sandpaper on the left side the first 1st line is good to go. Lethal

Sid is 2nd line C . McDavid 3rd line center. 4th Clarke

RW- Lemieux, Igilna, Lafleur , Bossy
LW- Messier, Sakic, Shanahan, Yzerman

(robitaille, lindros)

dee;
Orr-Bourque
Coffey-Robinson
Nierdemayer- Potvin

(too early to put Makar , i'll give him a yr..haha..... best dee skater i've ever seen. )

G;
Roy, Brodeur

good to go....and the favs!

a good friend, HUGE Habs fan has Savard on dee. Robinson-Savard.

what's your team?

Great list, mostly post expansion. Can't believe you left off these two beasts, true POWER forwards not that pussy Messier!! (If he was Russian he would he been labeled the most dirtiest player ever!)

Changing positions makes it a little easier.

Gretzky, Lafleur, Bossy unlimited goal scoring!

Espo, Hull, Howe. Beasts, power, speed

Clarke, Trottier, Killer (93-94 best two way player I've ever seen) career Gainey no one would score against this line.

Lemieux, Crosby, McDavid, speed skill same as the first line. Not a fourth line just came to mind later.

D is a lot easier.

Orr, Bourque

Robinson, Harvey

Potvin, Coffey

Goalie

Roy and Bower (Bower's numbers still hold up today!)

And yeah Lindros is a what could have been. Was incredible for a couple of seasons. And as much as I hate to admit it, being a die hard Habs fan Neely is another what could have been. He was Roy's kryptonite and only Gretzky twice, scored 50 goals in fewer games than Neely! Injuries killed these two greats!

yeah, my team included players from the 70's up. HAD to add Orr (even tho i didnt see him) as he was a generational talent-freak show. A dee guy turned a franchise around, dominated. Off the charts and aint going to see that again.

phd., that's a crazy solid team. yeah that Clarke line you could run hard to protect a 2-1 lead late , ha!

Nierdermayer could be replaced with various others, i get that. I choose him cause Scotty was a winner , someone you could rely on when the rubber hit the road . won on all International stages (World Jr's, 2 Olym Golds, World Championship), 4 Cups, a Norris and a Conn Symthe
