Does anyone know how long it takes to have a replacement passport issued if it gets lost/stolen? Just curious. And with the temporary replacement are you allowed to leave the country?

As for the heat, if you don't need to go outside it's no problem.
Everything is air conditioned...hotels, restaurants, taxis, pool
rooms, bars, massage places, discos, malls, etc

Or going out in the evenings of the high season is not bad & dry.
