Hey Viejo, Do you know of any places that would allow me to collect a Western Union or a Moneygram without my passport? Long story... currently don't have access to my passport.

VD, What does the girlfriend think about the soapies? or does she know?

All the Thais fool around. It's quite fashoinable there. Men even
have 2nd wives, mia noi.

For those guys with a GF, they may have a number of giks on the side.

Husbands can just tell the wife he's going golfing...

...But don't get caught or she'll cut your balls off in your sleep.

Thai women are notorious for that. The hospitals there specialize
in the reattachment procedures.

Interesting articles, though this quote was quite revealing:

Is it no coincidence that the HIV-AIDS rate is growing fastest among students, who seem to have embraced the gik philosophy the most? Even though the casualness of the Gik fad is quite appealing, the masses must never take life for granted.

Safe sex isn't stressed there like it is in the Western world.
I think bareback is quite common, even with foreigners.

Since i am uncertain of what businesses are in the USA i will speak
from a Canadian perspective.

Around the hotel i stayed at in Bangkok there were three 7-11 stores,
a Burger King, two McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut,
Starbucks and a Western Union, all within 3 blocks {10 minutes
walking} or less. It is like this all over the city, in the tourist areas.

There are also BTW at least 5 internet shops, two large grocers similar
to what i find at home, several pharmacies, and a couple malls with
just about anything else one might need. The same goes for the world
class Bumrungrad hospital which has been named a top 10 medical
travel destination.

Take a 10 minute skytrain ride and you can visit some of the hugest
department store complexes in the world, i suppose. Comparable to
anything i've seen in Vancouver, anyway. I actually bought a small
portable heater there {made in Germany} because it can get a bit
cold around the new year, and i sometimes over do it with the AC.

if you ever get over here, I will make sure you have the time of your life...

Thanks for the hospitality VD, and based on the posts so far I'd be a lucky man indeed.

Just for the heck of it I checked the flights, looks like between $1000-1400 depending on the time of year from NYC, and a mere 20 hours in the air with a layover in Japan. Looks like I'd need to plan out 2-3 weeks to enjoy this one!

I can already envision the first day: breakfast, golf, soapy, lunch, massage, dinner, club, girl, bed. Replace "golf" with scuba, fishing, sightseeing, etc and repeat till I'm out of time or $.

Not sure when it'll happen, but a guy can dream, and i'm lookin forward to it!

Don't go for two weeks....IMO, this is a 3 if not 4 week trip
You pay more for a flight, but everything over there is cheap
I would also go East and have a layover in ADam :toast:
This thread is making me crazy, I must get back there.......:ohno:

I had an old man tell me one time, he regretted the things he didn't do more than the things he did..
