My Nieghbor is Thai, his family owns a Thai restaurant here in Buffalo. If you need any answers to questions I could ask him.

Thai cusine is sooooooooooooo fucking good, I love it! Those pics you posted made me drool. Love Red or White Curry, Jasmine rice, veggies, the food is frsh and vibrant. It can be hot, but you get sweet first then hot (spicey)... People don't know how good the shit is. You guys ever get a chance, go check out a Thai restaurant.

Nice pics Seymor, keep them coming.

Just for the heck of it, I looked at flight times for me to fly from
Austin -> Bangkok

It was 23 hours of travel time bare minimum to Bangkok, flying through Minneapolis and Tokyo. Other flight paths included Singapore and Moscow.

Red or white Curry with Jasmine rice, chicken, beef or pork; also Pad Thai noodles is a must for a beginner.

You can research it a little ask or google, once you get started you'll love it!

teach english

usually the number 1 in demand job for us english speakers in asia

Idiot, I'd be hiring staff, not offering to work. As Viejo, etc, stated, you must hire only Thai employees, you cannot employ tourists and as a tourist you cannot work (although I guess telling Thai employees what to do doesn't constitute working).

English teachers don't make jack in Costa Rica, I can't imagine they make much in Thailand either.

Viejo, let us know when they open casinos in Thailand, I'm translating our software into Thai as we speak ;-).

Anywhere.......

Another nice spot is Krabi
http://thaitourismsmile.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/maya_bay.jpg
For the younger crowd, Google Full Moon Party Koh Phangan
Was there in 94 and 96
Just crazy :drink:

This spot is Maya Bay on Koh Phi Phi Leh island (pronounced pee pee) which is an island of Krabi just off the coast of the province. This is a short boat ride from Phuket for anyone wanting to visit. This is where they filmed the movie "The Beach" with Leo DiCaprio.

They even let fatass Americans visit:

I'm waiting for needle dick to send me the pics - I would have a million pics but it was too dangerous to take your camera out the second week because everyone is shooting water at you and you will ruin your camera
