I would not at all be surprised if the next team NY plays someone head hunts gay rod. Another team may well take matters into their own hands before Toronto gets another crack.

Another bitter red Sox fan..

Alright now you're throwing this way out of proportion. Jesus christ, another team?

Haha, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I wouldnt bet on it, but it would not surprise me at all if he gets thrown at at least once at the ribs or higher. if this happens, people here will see I was right about how this sort of thing does not happen and how serious teams will take this. it messes with the game too much to have routine pop flys dropping untouched because a baserunner calls off a fielder

Yeah, no way he said "BOO".... his mouth didn't form an "O" to make that sound.

I can actually hear him say "mine" in fucnlucs video on the original play after seeing the slo-mo later where you can see closeup and read his lips.

watch it again and listen on the original play.

that's true but im pretty sure it almost never happens in MLB baseball and if it did, the Blue Jays or any other team would have the exact same reaction whether it be A-Rod or Sal Fasano.

When Journeyman made the "biggest homer at the Rx thread" I said I would nominate Smith but I can't take him seriously.

It's comments like "I would be surprised if another team will throw at him" which support that belief.

Smith is way up there on the homer list, but most Red Sox fans are for some reason...

I know I will take heat for this one too.....I love the Red Sox tradition (even if there's a lot of bad infamous moments, there's a lot of great ones too, Boston is easily one of my most admired teams in all of sports) but their fans get on my nerves so bad...they act like they've won like the Yankees:missingte .... It's hard to root for the Sox because of some of the Sox fans....now that I have alienated myself from the legions of Sox fans around here I will exit stage left.

A.J. Pierzynski says "HA!"

Plus, it would've been only a 2 run game.... and we all know how many of those Rivera has blown this season.

Not that I'm complaining since I had all my money on them last night. But it's bush-league none the less.

and lets not forget...any regular MLB third baseman would've still made the catch.

Not a 15 yr Minor League regular player, called up the day before...and has no real association w/ his infielders.

If Manny Ramirez pulled the same thing, then it would be labeled 'Manny being Manny' aka 'hilarious'

I'm waiting to hear Mike Francesa's take on this. He's the ultimate old school Yankees fan.

incorrect. I have bet the yankees vs red sox once this year. homers would never do that. I bet Florida vs Florida St 2 years in a row in football and I hate the Goddamned gators, thats a once a year proposition to bet on. Even the most ardent non-homers cant pull the trigger on football bets like that.

Manny definately would've gotten less criticism, but then he's never swatted a ball out of a pitcher's glove before or elbowed an infielder 5 ft from the bag.

gAy-Fraud is quickly becoming the dirtiest player in the league. Even AJ is jealous.

could be. gay rod has a history of cheap baserunning tactics. Manny doesnt. Manny isnt classless either which is a pre-requisite for this play.

if Manny did it I would still really disagree with the play. it is cheap and wrong no matter who pulls it.

Manny isn't classless?!?!?!?!!??!

I admire Manny as thee most talented right handed hitter in the game...thats how much I respect his ability.

But when putting 'class' next to Manny Ramrirez's name & the way he plays teh game...PUT DOWN YOUR RED SOX GOGGLES...your view is completely bias.

Just an example this week...Julien Tavarez rolled the ball to first...Red Sox fans/media had a field day on how funny it was. If A-Rod showed the same 'class' and did the same, then Sox fans would have get an ulcer.

People wonder why I'm not a Red Sox fan in MA....that post is exactly why.

find me a gator fan who has bet FSU vs Florida in football, find me an Ohio St fan who has bet Michigan vs Ohio St in football etc etc before we keep up this idiotic homer talk. not just passed the game, but bet the other side.

yankee fans are a very thin skinned bunch these days. surprised they actually seem to support gayfraud on this one, thats not the yankee way to play if their is such a thing. Jeter would never pull cheapshit like that
