I don't necessarily agree with the banning but it shows a positive sign for this site.

Being on the other side of the Shrink is a postive sign for this site. He has used this site to bully books, take their money, and promote them regardless of security for the players.

"Extort" is a better word for what he did to the books.

Guys this was a decision from the Owners of the RX, not the board room or the moderators....

As you well know, Ken hired most of us, and is still a friend to most of us....

This in NO WAY changes our "personal" opinions of The General, or Shrink, but reflects a "business" decision by the owners...

There will be many who agree with the decision, and many who disagree with the decision, just like there always is.....

However, lets not turn this into a "bash the former boss" thread please....

They deserve better than that, and so does our forum.....

2 people did not make this forum what it is, and 2 people will not be its downfall.....Its the cummulative effect of all the great posters we have here that have made this site so great....Many come and go, and we welcome the new ones, and miss the old ones, but it goes on......

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of the RX.....:drink:

Normally yes, but too many people including most current mods have said in past posts "Ken is the reason the RX is what it is" or something very similar. I guess time will tell if those sentiments are true. Ken is many things to different people, some good some bad, but fair to say he was the RX. What is the RX and what will it be is in question but I'll be here to find out.

good riddance !!!!! anyone who couldn't see that shrink was just using the rx for drama after announcing he was leaving until his new site opened is a fool. the rx is much better off without shrink being associated, its a shame the mods have to be left in the middle.obviously they dont want to say the exact reason why shrink was finally sent packing. i am assuming management finally stepped in and said enough.props for doing the right thing rx! general is just shrinks private pawn caught between a rock and a hard place , it isnt his fault.and lets not forget it was the shrink who sat back and watched while all the other websites tried to help the betpanam players.where was the shrink then? great guy!

7 total posts and now your an RX expert. Come on.

That may well be true Sam, because Ken IS the reason the RX is what it is today, because he STARTED IT....However it has evolved over time..

Much like Sam Walton is the REASON Walmart is what it is today, however upon his death, the stores still sell stuff cheap, and still make money.....

Shrink did make the Rx what it was. Wasn't very positive in my opinion. Hopefully it will change for the better.

True. I'm cautiously optimistic, and there have been a few good signs already.

These splits happen every day in the business world, and they are never easy or pretty-regardless of how the parties try to work it out. I work in an industry (the day job) where part owners and other managers often leave to start their own ventures in the same industry. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Despite whatever notice they are required to give prior to their departure, ownership often decides that it is best for them to leave immediately. It's always a tough decision, and NEVER does the decision make everyone happy.

I've seen this happen repeatedly in the corporate world, and I think that it's all about moving forward rather than having the "cloud of change" hanging over everyone's head. Having seen this in the real world(repeatedly), I understand the basis for which this decision was made, but that doesn't make it any easier on everyone else involved-especially these guys who were hired by, and worked with the Ken & Pete for many years.

Sad to see them go the way they did. For people to say the forum is better now should see the activity (or lack of) at other sites. Both added a lot here and should not be forgotten.

I agree with TT - business is business and these decisions happen everyday.

Why Ken sold the "Rx" remains a mystery to me. Yes..I know why he said he sold it. But when I consider the Daily Racing Form (A New York based publication) also takes advertizing for offshore books on their ON-LINE website as does E-Ponies a (Kentucky based web-site); then I wonder if he sold it because he simply needed the funds.

Guess it's something that I'll never know.

I doubt advertising as such was the problem...The methods by which some shops pay for the advertising causes great concern for those living in the U.S. as it borders on bookmaking!!! Not positive that was the case however I would consider it a possibility!!

People really reading too much into this....

Of course I'm not 100% sure, but more than likely Ken just "Turned A Profit"

Something in which most of us would of done the same..........

In the middle of two player disputes, SHRINK working on getting these guys paid, he is banned from The RX along with the General? You FOOLS!!! To indicate how horrible of a decision this is, look who is congratulating The RX for banning the SHRINK. Its the stooges from MajorWager that ripped The RX and SHRINK nonstop for having planned this attack on Royal. The same dopes that told MFG to just forget about his $25,000 that BetUs stole from him. Sad, sad day indeed.
