Just for fun since we have a bit of an audience now. This is the thread he is referring to where I mention a podcast. He thinks this is some big insult, me saying "I listened to this podcast and I disagree with them as well as the conventional wisdom on this being a boring, tactical fight"

I think you know this has been a huge negative for you. NBA win totals are all bet at once, fights are bet sporadically throughout the year. I'll let you book both, just saying I got win totals ready to go, fights it would take a lot longer.

And I regularly call out what the line is going to be for the next fight a guy is going to be in before any book even posts it, you couldn't really do that if you didn't have an extensive knowledge base about the sport. Before this clown gets all about semantics because I'm killing him, I just mean that only MMA/boxing would take too long. We can still do it but if you read the MMA/boxing forum, you can see I have 1-2 plays a month at most. I only really follow the big fights. Main events or co-main events and top 5-8 guys in the division. Everyone in that forum knows that.

He should just book me on everything though. Props, win totals, futures, MMA/boxing.

I've been fine with Mob in the past. Off and on spats but nothing major. Not my favorite guy to read but generally doesn't bother me despite the fact he has issues with tons and tons of other posters on this site. His enemy list is damn long.

That Mogley guy in the main forum had a 10 page thread about him betting thousands and he was making fish plays like buying pts which is -EV, do I go in the thread and say that he's just a dude spewing $ and people shouldn't follow him? No, of course not. Who cares?

Let me give you an example of why I say fantasy is harder now than ever....you have people playing daily fantasy every fucking day usually just chasing an imagainary dragon who probably don’t lose a lot but also do not win very much. I know all that whack shit works. And those people transition in regular fantasy football leagues like mine where nobody in the league does it besides 2 people and 1 of those 2 has an unstoppable team because he picked in front of me and took Michael Thomas along with many other players because he knows the ins and outs of fantasy sports....daily. And knows who to listen to for advice on who to draft and etc.

there are levels to that. I do my research like everyone. But I don’t everyday look at things from a fantasy perspective and know about the secret podcasts and who knows what fantasy wise. So shut the fuck up. Thank you.

As far as buying points goes. Why do you think they let you buy points? Because it is negative EV to do so. If it wasn't, they wouldn't let you do it. C'mon man.

That's why they charge 30 cents off key numbers, a key number is usually worth about 20 cents. Non-key numbers they don't charge you as much because they aren't worth as much.

I could give you a few books on the subject if you want. This has been backtested. Books used to only charge 10 cents on buying points off key #'s, it was good then off 3. They also used to let you tease across 3 and 7 (the two most key numbers) at -110, that was +EV too.

Who said it wasn't harder than ever? Of course it is. Most stuff like this, the edges/inefficiencies get smaller over time. I.e. poker 10 years ago. I said it is easier than sports betting. Sports betting is also harder than ever for a variety of reasons.

There's a calc for you with the point values. As you can see, the books are charging more to buy points than they are worth. That's why they sell them.
