Doesn’t mean I am the Smartest guy with it because I am going against straight up fucking nerds who play that whack ass daily fantasy shit and they go and probably get the same advice that you get from your podcasts I’m not sure. I do know for sure there are smarter people than me with fantasy....there are always locks I have in fantasy every year. Doesn’t mean I know more than some dude picking in front of me taking everybody who I wanted. You are competing with nerds. Not the public.

I used to win all of the time in fantasy football until I started just caring about who covers instead. IMO daily fantasy ruined fantasy football as a whole. Now you have all types of people giving out advice for a living and you have all types of people looking for who to pick and who to start. Everybody is a fucking expert now with that shit available. You're not competing with the public in sports betting. You're competing with the oddsmakers, that's why fantasy is easier. That's why fantasy is better, because you don't have to compete with efficient lines, you get to compete with the public. The idea that you are "competing with the public" in sports betting is a misconception. Was somewhat true back in the day but now pretty much all line movement is driven by the sharp nerds.

But yes, the proliferation of information does make the edge smaller in fantasy sports. Just need to harness the information better than others. Still better than sports betting.

You have it backwards but I'll give you credit, the first paragraph of this is a somewhat thoughtful post. Besides your assertion that I don't make real money at it, that can be backed up via 1099's but I don't have a ton of interest in going down that road with tax info.

That's what I think you don't understand. Way, way more in sports betting. Player projection is a more inefficient market where superior objective/subjective analysis goes a lot further. Team projection tends to be more efficient and thus less exploitable. Any sharp would tell you that.

Either way, that's probably a bit over your head and I realize that a little better now. Enjoy the season man. In fact, enjoy the next 10 years where you hit 50.7% on NFL sides whether you throw a dart board or whether you think you know what you are talking about.
